Well that was a wonderful interview, Sadly you cut her off when she was to expand on Lou Reed.

That was lovely to hear.My mum worked in a unisex hairdressers, at the same period of time,in Nearby Croydon. One day a young bloke came in ,asked my mum to give him a ‘Rod Stewart’ ( feather) haircut. She obviously did a good job,as the next few months, saw her cutting many blokes hair in the same style.sadly my mum passed away in 1994,she was buried on the 29/4/1994,exactly a year later than the day Mick Ronson passed away.

Anita Pallenberg was Brian Jones' stylist a few years earlier, although her role wasn't official like Suzi's was. Great interview, cheers

Suzi's book was very informative and a very good read. I loved all the inside information! ❤😊 I started wearing my hair spiky in the 80s and still wear it that way now, but its no longer black but is salt & pepper.

Oh that was a wonderful interview, I’ll pick up the book asap . Loved both of those RONNO solo albums, fascinating to have some background. And yeah that Ian Hunter album is elevated by Mick Ronson’s input ( Once Bitten / Who Do You Love ) If only Suzi had been hanging around the Midlands , maybe Dave Hill could have had a different look 😂

I agree, those first two Ronno records are great. Mick and Ian Hunter also produced and played on the fantastic Night Out album from Ellen Foley in 1979.

read the book last week. I wish Ronno wrote something. It ends too soon. would like to understand his struggle in the 1980s. Nothing about him being the real producer of Transformer.

"He was tall..." ????? No, he wasn't! His height was usually claimed to be 5'10, but that was a tad 'generous'.

That interview with Janet Street Porter makes him look like 5'6" but he was definitely not tall. Average height.

I read he was around 5'8" or so. Bowie was supposed to be 5'10", the same height as Iman.

I was one of those who grew my hair before I left school at 16 (the year I saw Bowie at Boscombe). Part of my education was the discovery that pointing out that Jesus seems to have had long hair is not an argument that carries any sway with headmasters of even the best comprehensive schools. I deplored the glam-rock thing at the time while appreciating the music. Dave Hill of Slade is the best exemplar of glam in my book and Sigue Sigue Sputnik perhaps the worst. For me glam without good songwriting behind it is just noisy dressing up. I'm going to spruik this podcast.
