Transformers Auto-Converting Megatron EARLY UNBOXING/FIRST IMPRESSIONS!

Robosen has Hasbro have partnered again for another really cool Transformers release. I've reviewed their Auto-Converting Optimus Prime and Grimlock in the past and those have been amazing to see transform by themselves right in front of your eyes. Now today, Robosen has officially revealed their next Auto-Converting Transformer and it's Megatron! That's right, we finally have a Decepticon! Robosen reached out to me and sent me the Megatron early, and so I wanted to share my unboxing and first impressions with you all.
This is one of Robosen's most advanced Transformers yet, with more tech built in than before, leading to very smooth movements that bring the Transformer to life. Just like prior releases, this can be voice controlled or controlled via an app. The app has built in actions, as well as manual and block-based programming to create your own movements. As for my impressions, I will say that I personally found the tank mode disappointing because of how slow it can be to respond and how it can often get stuck while pivoting the tank. The transformation itself is fast and fluid, though a little simple for my taste. The robot mode is where Megatron really shines. He looks incredible and has some really fun actions that truly look great. All of Robosen Transformers can be quite expensive, but they are truly a showcase product and Megatron is no exception. Anyone saying that it’s too expensive should just say they can’t afford it. That’s not an insult, it’s definitely not cheap or something everyone could afford. But for what it is, it’s worth the price tag. I can’t buy a ford raptor let alone a Bugatti or lambo, but that doesn’t make them not worth the money they cost.

Not true. I can afford this thing. Seems cool but I am never gonna pay so much for something like this. For me it ain’t worth it. 1,000 dollars is way too much for this whether you can afford it or not.

@@NateDoes3D I can name 3 things without even thinking that parents buy their kids that cost more. I get what you’re saying to an extent, but you have no obligation to buy it for your kids. Some kids have Jordan’s, some parents can only afford shaqs, iPhone and android, ps5, etc. they could still get transformers toys, my 9 year old loves these toys from Walmart that are Dino transformers and they cost like 10 bucks. He has 10+ of them. This isn’t the kind of thing that all the kids will have and make fun of kids who don’t have them. This is an expensive toy that only some will afford, super complex and advanced, worth the asking price. Go yell at apple, they hurt way more kids with android

Masterpiece Transformers - that you have to convert yourself by hand - cost somewhere around 100 to 800 Dollars apiece. Yes, this Megatron is expensive, but in relation to other, regular OCS Transformers, it’s not that much money.

Guys guys hold on, yes 900 is a serious money for a toy, but that thing has serious design for a toy, i mean i didnt buy it yet but to see the movements capabilities shows us it has very complex and compact design, servos seems great, placements great, thats makes great potential for future programming either for end user and the developers. Now i have a few points that i suggest for company 1. With mace swing movement, first swing programmed perfect, but in the 2nd swing a bit messy, the solution i believe it needs extra wirst down movement for momentum, and little rotation from the wrist, to use its chain stack a bit to keep mace in the air, that chain design will handle that mace up in the air itself with that wirst rotation. I mean it can be perfect with a few additional codes. 2. For slow movement i think its because the thing is too heavy as you said, it might needs bigger servos and that is gonna brake its compact design. For the annoying sound they can change some codes and make the sound cycle a bit less. You know it can appear randomly after first movement. 3. And wheel stuck problem that you had in rotation, you said the thing is heavy, and i believe the rubber they use on wheels is too soft for that wheight, and bend too much with the stress of movement and it gets stuck. Just like i say i didnt see robot in my hand but i can feel that. If they use little less flexible rubber i mean harder material, it also helps movement speed, servos will take less pressure. I hope at least 1 of my suggestion will help to company, as far as i see they do great job and they deserve reputation.

If you are an adult with a collectible hobby then you would understand the amount of money adults will spend on their hobbies . Some adults will spend thousands of dollars on Super Bowl tickets , but I wouldn't because that is not my passion but I'll spend the money on this because it is my hobby . If it's not your thing then fine , but I'm sure there is something you are willing to spend money on that someone else might criticize you for as being a waste .

i wonder if the tank tread rubber is just too sticky on your floor when it is new. i have a lot of high end hobby grade RC trucks/cars and new tires are always way stickier out of the box until you break them in and run the car a few times.
