I was lucky enough back in the early 80's to have Zandra come in as a guest teacher to the fashion college I was attending. I have NEVER forgotten her genius, her warmth and her joy for life. I still remember how much she loved the tailored Green and Orange jacket I was making at the time-Massive shoulder pads, huge buttons, welted pockets...it was fantastic. Our School Master was a man named Jack Payne and his pure joy over having Zandra talk all things fashion and textiles with us will always resonate with me. XOX From Ireland

I found Zandra in my teens, around 2005. I have since then been inspired to live life colourfully, stylishly and creatively. Her and Andrew Logan are wonderfully joyous, and continue to inspire me every day. I do wish this was at least an hour long!

Even though it's heavily charged in all sorts of patterns, colors, and textures, it's done within harmony. The bold colors actually uplifts the mood. All those bright pinks and yellows change tint when as the sun goes down, that must also be grandiose a sight as much as during the evening with the lamps all lite. .Fascinating that one can stroll along in her penthouse as if strolling inside her mind. As a lifelong goth I find pink so violent and energetic, almost tiring and it fucks around a lot with my synaesthesia but I'm trying to bring it into my wardrobe. Pink is like being possessed by an electrified rhinoceros. I appreciate her bandwidth, it's aspirational.

Different strokes for different folks. That is what makes for an interesting world of interior design. I I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her world while my interior design asethetic is the total opposite. I love warm minimal ecletic interiors w most empty walls. Mine have some asian scrolls and buddhas statues are in every room..Soft whites and beiges with a few pale pinks, and natural materials like linen and bamboo ...makes me feel calm and peaceful. With that being said when I paint in oils or acrylic for my gallery....I love to use bright colors!

All those wannabe self proclaimed "models" who just fling on an odd array of mismatched clothes and think they're being fashionable and if you wince and say ugh that's not style they say you're just a clueless boomer... This house is mismatched but there is a thread of logic and balance and harmony. That is a true artist. You can see by her books she is humble enough to study history and enrich her mind and that affects her choices of art work and decor. I wish more 'influencers' would craft their individual style in this way.

At 03:36 you see the iconic Issey Miyake plastic bustier showed at the finale of his autumn/winter 1980-81 collection! The bustier, molded on a woman’s torso, subverts the idea of clothing as a covering separate from the body. It reveals the contours of the female form in detail, creating a second skin that transitions into a short peplum of fabric-like folds at the hips. Its first mainstream outing was (of course) Grace jones who wore designers head to toe before it was a thing. The second mainstream Outing of that corset was on the cover of another black icons record, the legendary Jody Watley's "Where The Boys Are" in 1983. That record was produced by Gary Langan the founding member of The Art Of Noise! Jody was also the first female pop artists to combine high fashion (Chanel, Westwood and Gaultier etc.) with streetwear since the late 70ies. Please note that none of the two mentioned ladies ever had a stylist!
