An actual artistic approach to interior decor. So nice to see rooms reflecting talent and foresight to realize their existence. I'm so tired of seeing rooms looking more like a used furniture store than purpose driven decor.

I had the joy of touring Emery Walker's House in September 2022. This was a house so much lived in and loved by the Walkers. Their home was not fully Arts & Crafts but contained decorative items and furniture from other decorative styles which contributes to the homey feeling. And the docents love this house too. I contrast this with Red House in Bexleyheath, a museum of hush and reverence. Much prefer "lived in" rather than "expression of genius'

How exciting to see the interior of this house! I lived at Kelmscott House for a year more than 40 years ago and used to pass Emery Walker's house often, but it was not open to the public then, and I had no idea that the interior was so well preserved. I will definitely be visiting the next time I go to London.

This was so inspiring, just wonderful and beautifully presented too. Thank you! While I can't have a house like this I'm going to rush off now and try and make a journal that captures this aesthetic-it's so lovely.

I wanted to buy an Arts and Crafts house a couple of years ago that was for sale near me but my husband was worried about the renovation costs as it was Grade I listed, I do wish I’d of twisted his arm more and bought it! Though I do love our 1930s home that we are having renovated and I will be sneaking a few Arts and Crafts elements in the interior.

I dislike all the modern furniture that look so clinical but lifeless…I love things that have character, have a story which you can image who and how it was used. Everything old has a story and that’s what I find fascinating….because people should always remember that nothing is perfect especially humans and nature.
