Building the Bismarck along with Wayne has been great fun. The year went by much too quick. During the final stages and tests all my adjustments caused minor damage to the delicate photo-etch parts such as railings, some ladders and minor antennas. To avoid these pesky problems I jumped ahead to complete the remote electronics. Once everything functioned correctly, I went back to finish the detail work. I think I saved myself some frustration. Just about finished now. The model is outstanding and Wayne's videos were both fun and super helpful. Much appreciated.

This is amazing!! I jumped around a bit in Pack 12 and I still have between 3-4 stages left. I haven't tested anything yet because I need the bow deck assembly loose to fix the bow light. The cable stopped transmitting light. I can't wait to hook everything up and test it. I still have the boats stage also. I bought EZ line to do the rigging. I've learned a lot during this build. Thanks Wayne for the videos. They were a great help when I needed clarification on a particular assembly.

That is an epic video to (almost) complete an epic model .. well done Wayne .. some of those photo etched parts are very tiny but well worth the effort .. think any maritime museum would be delighted to have the other one of your Bismark models on display especially if they can rig it up to operate all those working features!

I just completed this and happy to be finished. It was so enjoyable and I learned so much. I always try to make my models as close to the original as possible. I did a lot of research and am so glad to find out that the "wires" were secured with large clumps of glue on the original Bismarck. So mine looks just like the real battleship. I enjoyed this so much I am going to do another one and have ordered the set. I was a needleworker for a lot of years. I do not know if you mentioned it, but a sewing accessory, a needle threader helps get the thread (technically yarn) through all the little holes. Also, I had no idea there was a wireless control with this and it works very well, few things do not work on the ship, they will on the next one, but the remote sure does work'

Another nice video. This build is turning out to be my favorite so far. So much detail and so much to do in each pack. I laugh when I get an Ironman pack and takes me 20 minutes to do the whole thing and then I get one of these and I work on it for the next few days. And Agora's customer service so far has been excellent. Very responsive any time there is a slight delay or issue.

These videos are always so bittersweet. I mean, the model looks amazing, and it's great to see all the hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and swears being completed for the first time. But it's also sad that it's all over. On top of doing the rigging, though, have you considered adding people to the ship? I mean, it's a 1:200 scale model, surely somewhere has 1:200 scale people you could buy and add to the ship. Not that it needs it, mind you, but I think it would just add that little extra bit of life to the ship, having people on deck in the course of their duties. Great job on the model, though! It's a beautiful ship! Can't wait to see what you finish up next.

To make it not look like a toy you have to reduce some angular speeds. Your 380 cannons are turning about 4 times faster than normal. They are thousands of tons pieces, they can't move agilely. A 180 degree turn should take 30 seconds. Okay?

The radars/rangefinders look wrong to me - the units contain the range finder lenses and the radar panels would have been for ranging and not detection. They would not have been spinning around, and would have been fixed on target as directed by the fire control centre.

I already 'completed' my model as well, in the same loose term as you. I decided against rigging the crane since I think it looks awfull with the provided string. Since the string is so strong, and the crane does not have any weight to it, the strings are not tentioned at all, making it look really bad. I am not sure yet if I do any of the rigging tbh.
