The armour plate is accurately positioned. It's vertical once the seat is attached to its base.

I found a copy of a SAM Publication Modellers Datafile Book on the Lancaster in Loughborough’s Age Concern book shop this weekend. The range was quite comprehensive when they were published with plenty of close up detail and paint schemes.

I always think, when you show the title card with the full plane, it seems like a bad omen that one of the engines isn't working. I remember you having enough problems with the Zero fighter, and that only had the one engine. Hopefully it's just an error on THEIR end and yours will work fully. So far, you're batting 1000 with yours.

Been looking at a few pics of the headrest, it seems that in may be adjustable and anything from folded back behind the seat to folded upright and or to a forward tilt, perhaps it different locking positions?

If you look at the finished picture in the instructions you will see that the seat and armour plate are okay.

OMG some of these parts are so small! Just trying to catch on some of the builds, as I have been getting caught up in other things..And have forgotten where I have got up to. Did you finish the rossy(?) bike, I got totally lost with that build. !

No. This was a prototype. The main design has the dihedral angle

Have you had a look at Nigels Modelling Bench he will be doing this build but he will be building it slightly out of order and painting it the correct colours Nigel is virtually a walking encyclopedia on the Lancaster

This model has a HUGE footprint! Where on earth are you going to display it? Aren't you running out of room? I would have loved to build this and the other airplanes you've had on the channel, but I can't find anyone who has the space for it. Museums won't even take it. Seats are chairs without legs!😅
