Poundstone made such a rookie mistake that cost him the title. That's why Mariusz is the GOAT when it comes to the WSM competition. As far as experience goes, no one was more experienced than him! It had started to rain and both the stones and platforms were slippery. Poundstone got desperate and lifted the stone without having a full grip and his stone fell while Mariusz took his time until he had full control of the stone under the most enormous pressure! Our competition isn't funded by marketing or ticket sales. In fact, our show is free to attend and watch live.

Back in the day my tv sports network would slot in WSM after NHL or NBA. If the game went beyond the usual time we wouldn't get WSM. That was always a disappointment. Now I don't have cable but I can watch it on youtube.
