Rzeszów: first time in this part of Poland! 🇵🇱

Today I took the train to a part of Poland I had not been before! Podkarpackie region. To the city called Rzeszów. It was so much fun to explore this Polish pearl of the south east. Such a beautiful small Stary Miasto. Very pretty and very cozy. A lot of terraces. Fun hidden places. A lot of students so a lot of locals. Almost no international tourists. I will come back to this place!

Nynke, IMO Rzeszów is one of Poland's most underrated cities. It definitely deserves more credit not only for its beautiful historical centre, also its modern development is interesting. Speaking of the Sub-Carpathian voivodeship, don't miss Przemyśl, the town that became world-famous as the first reception place for millions of Ukrainian refugees. And further south are my favourite Polish mountains - Bieszczady, perfect for trekking (early autumn is beautiful there). Add to that the recently inaugurated, spectacular cable car at Solina.

Przemyśl is an amazing city - lot of history in the old city on the hills, the old forts outside of the city. When Nynke goes to the near Bieszczady and the lake "Solina" she should listen to the song "Zielone wzgórza nad Soliną" (the green hills over Solina) there - that's what I would do.

Definitely Przemysl but also Jaroslaw is on the way, city which used to be on the main trade route and market in Europe. On Sunday you can see the Museum of Orsetti for free, in the Town Hall you will see great post Austrian clock on the top. Now we have fairs in September to commemorate these times. You should check it out the dates for the oldest one "Jarmark Benedyktynski" and the new one "Jarmark Jaroslawski", you simply can't miss on that! And then there's Sanok and its Skanses (open air museum) on the south from where is very close to already mentioned Bieszczady mountains, an absolute must see of podkarpacie. Also make sure not to miss the true pearl of the region which is Kalwaria Paclawska, between 12-15 of August is super crowded as it has its fiest day but if you go right now you will meet with a lot of young people who's having 35rd annual gathering with local monks!!! It's a great week with plenty things on the menu! I'd totally advise to take a chance to go there now despite the religion believes, it's just a great way of meeting new people and having a new experience also the most beautiful night sky (camping with tent) in the whole Poland🇵🇱 😍🤩

W województwie Podkarpackim, warta odwiedzenia jest także ogromna (największa) tama w Polsce - „tama nad Soliną”, oraz ruiny „klasztoru w Zagórzu”, albo „Tarnica” (najwyższy szczyt Bieszczad). Podkarpackie to jedna z moich ulubionych Prowincji w Polsce. Wiele osób polecało mi również odwiedzenie miasta „Przemyśl”, ale ostatecznie jeszcze nigdy tam nie byłem…

I don't know if you've been to little Krakow. This is the name of Tarnów. This city is worth visiting. Other small towns: Kazimierz Dolny, Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, Zamość, Lublin and the village of Zalipie. I recommend the channel: Wędrowne Motyle(Wandering butterflies) for exercises with the Polish language. You will see a non-obvious Poland there.

We had hostel 1902. A private room and shared kitchen and bathroom for 75 euros for 2 nights and 4 people. There are a lot of hostels and also houses with rooms that are not expensive 🤗

Ten Rzeszów wygląda betonowy pomnik na który ktoś z litości postawił w dużych donicach małe drzewka niczym kwiaty. Takie projekty powinny być karalne.
