It would have been nice if he also demonstrated wardoff, even if it was after roll back. This tui shou is good practice drill for wardoff and rollback. The power comes from your root. The power travels up through your legs. The legs including the feet have springs that are constantly being pressed and decompressed. The Qi travels from the lungs to the arms to the legs and back to the head again to complete a cycle. This means that the legs take a longer time to react then the hands. This means that the arms are naturally a communicator for the legs to be alive and springy. The waist, hips, and back (WHB) connect the legs to the arms. When the “WHB” and legs become connected it is like you have awakened a sleeping dragon 🐉. Naturally, the arms including the hands have springs that are fully loaded and unloaded constantly. Therefore, your wardoff should help someone on there journey and roll back should lead them to their destiny.

If I may ask, would you know has there been any fighting competition held in the Wu Dang Shan area in recent years? Just thinking about who could we recommend as the most proficient fighter around there. Thank you kindly.

Can only see his physical movements that did not show Tai chi principles. Tai Chi is on of inner style martial arts.

Tai Chi may focus on internal principals more so than other schools, but Zhang San Feng its founder was also trained at a high level in Shaolin gungfu before coming to Wudang. He still continues to teach and inspire Taichi principals which gave birth to LiangYi. Keep in mind that Taichi is a Chinese martial art, and all Chinese martial arts are connected because of Chinese culture. For example, all Chinese martial arts have Qigong training regardless of being internal or external…
