it's not a cover or a remix, it's a maturity. We hear the same song as we did in our youth, making us feel one way. Then, as an adult, hearing the same song with new clarity

Ronnie is an incredible artist, with a wide range of vocal abilities. I never paid attention to the lyrics in the original, but Ronnie makes you feel the lyrics. Ronnie has done a few reimagined versions of his old songs that are pure masterpieces. His videos are always very theatrical, on a movie level.

Song brought me to tears first time I heard it. Ronnie did it again. I grew up on the original, and it struck home on a different way, in my youthful anger. This, in my older age, reminds me the cry for help the anger hid. It's an amazing reimagining.

This was the best reaction to this song that I have seen. I really like that you don't stop the video because a lot of times that takes away the feeling of the song to the viewer. I thought it was great that your taking notes and genuinely listening to the song then talking about it after. Thank you this was a great reaction.

This is the first time I have seen any of your videos/reactions. Watching you trying to keep your cool and maintaining that cool, made me realize you get it. I was singing along to it, as tears were streaming down my face, because I get it too. So doesn't Ronnie. His reimaging of this song was nothing short of incredible. I have been to dark places in my life. This song resonates with me so much. I do agree that this song should have some kind of warning on it, because it will trigger many people struggling with depression, etc. He made me listen to the lyrics all over again, in a completely different way than the original all those years ago. Papa Roach was aggressively rapping so to speak. Ronnie took this to another level and makes people feel. He brings out the sadness and emotional tiredness of people today. His vocal range. Such talent. OMG! This man can do anything. Seriously. I am also so sorry to hear about your wife. I am sorry you can't listen to certain music anymore, and again, I get it. Loss just sucks. I've had my share. It's life, and it won't stop for anyone. Thank you for this reaction and I will pray for your continued healing.

I ❤Falling in Reverse SO MUCH. Please go down this rabbit hole. Frontman Ronnie Radke will blow you out of your chair. He’s done another reimagined track, but to one of his own older songs. The Drug in Me is You turned into The Drug in Me is Reimagined. There’s also I’m Not a Vampire which they redid and turned into I’m Not a Vampire Revamped. Watch the World Burn is another newer song, which came out a few months ago. Popular Monster is another good one.

I concur, but if you do the old and new pairs of songs, do them in the same video for each pair: The Drug in Me is You (2011) and The Drug in Me is Reimagined (2020) I'm Not a Vampire (2011) and I'm Not a Vampire Revamped (2021). The difference in a decade is stark. The new versions are so different it seems to change the meaning of the lyrics.

Great reaction, thank you! I was 19 years old when the song came out, and I felt it was a kind of anthem of the revolution of youth. Now I'm 42, I'm the father of a 14-year-old son, and when I hear FIR's version now, it brings unstoppable tears to my eyes. In 2006 my mother died, in 2019 my father died and now the lyrics have a completely different meaning for me than when I was 19. Some lines hit me very hard and every time!
@Lions1986 Жыл бұрын
someone in the comments of another reaction to this song said it perfectly IMO. Papa Roaches version was awesome and it made me think of a young adult mad at the world just screaming his pain away. This version was more somber and was like someone begging for help and they made you feel the lyrics. some of the lyrics i didnt even know what was actually said because i would just rock out to the papa roach version and not really listen to the lyrics. here you are forced to hear and listen to the lyrics and it hits hard

Falling in reverse just toured the beginning of the year with papa roach and Hollywood undead. Ronnie was nervous the whole time showing this to jacoby. Please check out that video because it is so cool to watch one artist to another. He showed this to jacoby before it was released and jacoby was just in aww of it. Ronnie gets so much hate because of his past and his brutal honesty its honestly pathetic. He is a very talented artist. From rap to operatic and everything in between! He started with Escape The Fate then formed Falling In Reverse while in Prison. The day he was released from prison FIR was in the studio recording their first album The Drug In Me Is You. Please check out more if Falling In Reverse. I honestly do not think you will be disappointed.

My condolences. My mother passed away 2021 after having crippling case of what's it in English? You know fingers start to go wrong from joints. She had hip replacement surgery, it was right when Covid hit Europe and Finland too. I took care of her over 3 years also. And she passed away being in hospital after I called ambulance because she suddenly stopped breathing during sleep. She was revived but was back only few minutes every day, then slept rest if the day. Doctor's said her heart gave out after battleling so long with joint pain and surgeries.

Good sir, Falling in Reverse is a rabbit hole that will consume you, if you let it. Ronnie Radke (pronounced Rad-key) has had a very eventful life, full of hardships and hatred, and he isn’t afraid to discuss it or fire back at those who are verbal against him. This song came after one of his biggest songs and music videos that addressed so much of the hate that he receives after having fixed his life, and in this song/video he addresses that he is not fine, and some of the things he has done/said come from a dark place… The reimagining of such an iconic song has never been done this way, and it was utilized in the most spectacular way possible for Ronnie while still paying tribute to Jacoby and Papa Roach! Ronnie has reimagined 2 of his own songs with 10 years difference between the originals and their new versions, and they are spectacular! If you decide to dive down the rabbit hole, I will continue to watch! Love the way you broke this down for us, and I’m looking forward to more!

If you want to check out more falling in reverse there are a few original songs that they reimagined and also a trilogy, but strap yourself in because every song is a completely different style or a combination of styles most people wouldn’t be able to make work but falling in reverse makes them all work.

Thoughts of ending life early is a subject matter that I struggle with. In my mind I have a inner monologue with myself of what gives life its worth. I visualize a scale and everything worth living for is on one side and everything not worth living for is on the other. In this moment I am extremely blessed with so many things to out weigh the other side of the scale. I’m scared of losing my blessings. My daughter and my two sons and my wife. I lost my father when I was 15 so I know how death creeps up out of no where and can take anything and everything indiscriminately and change those scales. I can’t imagine losing my daughter. The pain will be unbearable and I don’t think I will be able to even put a scale to it. Losing my wife will break me. I think I will be able to stay strong for the sake of my children but losing my children will do me in. I play out these scenarios to somehow prepare myself but it just haunts me. I put this facade of being strong to the world but I am weak and barely holding on.

New to you & sub 👍. Really fine reaction. Your comments cover Ronnie and this great reimagined song. My thought on your loss is pretty much summed up by this band name. Live your life like every second is your last - which it is because it'll never happen again and do something good every day as you say. BUT it's okay to embrace your best times with a smile and a tear and fall in reverse with the 90s, 2000 music where life has gifted you those memories - some of which will live on only with you, your music and your wife who deserves to be honoured and remembered. Take it easy of yourself. Nice to meet you. David 🇬🇧

I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie conveys in this song, the pain and the fight with and against evil thoughts. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight their demons every day can understand this. How often her mental world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, “I can’t go on like this” and fight your way out, only to find again and again, “Nothing is okay.” But you keep fighting, every day. They fight with all their strength against being buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.

It was good. I give it an 8 But it's much better the original! When you hear "Last Resort" it's gonna be hard to associate it with the FIR version just 'cause the original version riff is unmistakable which marked a generation and a genre, my opinion.. The Clansman (live Rock in Rio 2001) - Iron Maiden La Cantata del Diablo (live Mexico 2017) - Mago de Öz----- > just a Master piece Hijo de la Luna - Stravaganzza The Crown And The Ring (Lament Of The Kings)Live 2008 - Manowar Design your Universe (live Retrospect) / Cry for the Moon(live Retrospect) - Epica I remember you - Skid Row (live) Soulbound - Unleash the Archers Burning Time (live) / Dracula - Iced Earth Ategnatos / King - Eluveitie
