If you are trying to level launchers by shooting streaks, make sure to keep the launcher in hand until the streak is destroyed. Otherwise, the xp will go to your primary weapon.

Score counting towards weapon xp is such a great idea. I’ve been playing objective in hard point getting top of the leaderboard every time without the highest number of kills and weapons have been leveling up very fast.

Yeah I think hardpoint is the perfect weapon XP mode for me. There's a lot of score to be had tossing trophy systems, decoys, retaking points, holding points and just generally racking up a ton of kills.

PSA for K&M users who rebind a lot of their keys (like me who's a lefty), going into a co-op mission lobby will reset your keybinds to default. Learned the hard way last night.

Temporary solution until they fix it: switch your keybinds.kb to "read only" , It can be found: C:\Users\**your username**\Documents\Call of Duty\players\**your player number**. Parts between ** are obviously your specific info. NOTE: this does not stop co-op keybinds from resetting every time you enter co-op menu (those must be kept somewhere else) but will lock your general multiplayer bindings in place.

Additionally, there is a drone smoke screen field upgrade that with the Overclock perk you can spam multiple times a game and get 10xp per kill that your teammates get. Drop those onto outdoor objectives or in hot spots on the map and you rank up super fast

So a little tip; farm 18 is insane for KC decoy strat. Throw 3 in the middle, get a kill, probably die and throw 3 more. Don't try to die, but it happens on that map, so take advantage of that and toss as many decoys as possible into the middle building. The decoy covers pretty much the entire mid area and the XP stacks with multiple decoys.

It's worth noting, that the launcher melee trick with the throwing knife does only help to level the launcher up. Those kills are not counting towards "kill" challenges with the launcher. For that, you have to either rocket the enemy or beat them up with the launcher in the old-fashioned way (aka beat them twice).

Hardpoint is the fastest method for me. Being the first person to take the point gives you 400xp. Just sitting on the point gives you 10xp every couple of seconds. Make sure you use Double Time and have a knife as your secondary to get around the map as fast as possible so you can be the first to take the point, and have Bomb Squad and a Trophy system to keep you alive on the point. Just remeber to always switch to the weapon you are trying to level while taking and holding the point. I usually get around 5000xp per match.

I literally just posted my own video last weekend on what I believe is the easiest way to get launcher levels in my own opinion and to give a TLDR, play kill confirmed and swap to a launcher whenever you’re about to pick up tags. 75 XP per enemy tag and 25 XP per teammate tag. I know Ace mentioned this in his video, but I just wanted to really stress how much of a lifesaver this was for me because destroying streaks gives barely anything

Here's a Summary of the fastest method to level up your weapons in 6v6: -Play Kill Confirmed and get as many tags as you can on top of kills. -Use Decoys as your tactical (throw them anywhere where it's hot everything you spawn for easy exp) and EMP as your field upgrade (Fast recharge rate and gives decent xp) -Use the Extra Tactical Perk for 3 decoys instead of 2 and Overclock Perk to get EMPs faster -Use UAV and CUAV streaks for extra score. You can either use the Advanced UAV for the third streak or Precision Strike so you can keep looping your streaks over faster. -Using Overkill can be useful as well to have a Riot Shield on your back constantly as this does give you xp when it is shot, however I can't confirm if this counts towards weapon xp for the gun you currently use Employing all of these methods at once can get you am average of 3-4 weapon levels a game which is REALLY good. Should be easy to test the riot shield theory. Just keep it on your back and never actually hold it for the whole round, at the end in theory you will get no XP for the shield and only for your main weapon. If that is the case then it is very likely that that shield XP went to the weapon you are holding.

One great way I found that doesn't even require you to shoot your gun (if you don't want) is play hardpoint. If you are the first person in the zone you get 450 xp towards your gun. Every 2 or 3 secs you are in the zone gets you 10 points. Then as the enemies get close and come kill you, just run to the next location and be first. I once spent almost 4 min in the hill (maybe 500-800xp) and also got the hill first at least 5 or 7 times (2,000-3,000 xp) and I only had like 2 kills. Anywhere from 3,000 to 6,000 xp per game IF the enemy team is not also going for the zone. Hope this helps (psst also gets you a lot of wins)

If you want the blue dot scopes. Expedite 12 shotgun to lvl 7, Deagle to lvl 4. EBR to lvl 10 for the nice OLE-V laser. There's obviously way more but those are the ones I know off the top of my head. The blue dots are nice and that laser is OP, only con is laser is visible but helps with ADS, sprint out times and strafe speed

My method for leveling up guns has been essentially what you said similar to option #2 except I play Hardpoint + decoy grenades with the restock perk with UAV and Counter UAV scorestreaks. You get xp for your teammates killing people, defending the point, attacking the point, shooting down counter UAVs (which is very easy even though nobody seems to do it except for launcher guys occasionally) etc. Even if you don't kill an enemy, an assist + distracting with decoy grenade is still pretty decent weapon xp and any points you get count towards the scorestreak as well. Hardpoint matches last decently long as well and there's usually not a ton of killstreaks in the air aside from uavs and counter uavs because people don't really go on long streaks in that mode from what I can tell. Personally I don't care how I do in a game where I am just trying to level up a gun because there's no public statistics and I do not care about silly numbers. I do try to play the objective and spam the decoys on the point which in theory helps my teammates by rendering the enemy radar useless as well as confusing footsteps with fake decoy gun shot sounds I suppose. I've levelled up several guns using this method. I did want to try the Invasion method but I kinda assumed what you did once I heard a couple other youtubers I watch mention it. No reason to do the thing that everyone else is doing.

So far, Domination and Hardpoint are my go-to game modes when it comes to weapon XP depending on how many kills I score with whatever gun I use to grind camos. But when it comes to spec ops, I felt like the weapon XP should be more faster to be earned to unlock attachments that are available for multiplayer use.

Third person mode is also very good for grinding weapons that are otherwise very difficult. I got the riot shield to hold by mostly using it in that mode. Same with marksman rifles that take multiple hits to kill like the EBR and lever action. At least getting those first ten levels through third person mode made things way easier for those weapons l, allowing you to see around corners for an ambush with the riot shield and line up headshots easier, especially from a distance, with the marksman rifles.

A good one that goes under the radar is piloting the Cargo Helicopter in Ground War. If you're holding the weapon you want to rank up, you get 25xp per person that spawns in, and LOTS of people die/spawn/die/spawn constantly on you. A reminder that decoy nades help exp farming for both teams, you throw decoys, temmates that get kills by it reward you with EXP, but on the other hand, an enemy possing DDOS will get 25 exp per equipment hit, which also includes decoys, I got 150+ exp at times with a single DDOS in a decoy infested area. Also kills with killstreaks give weapon EXP, including juggernaut, I was a Jugg sitting on a tank in ground war and levelling my TAQ-M, lol.

Once again, great video, but would also like to add to play kill coonfirmed and hardpoint and use the decoy grenades. I find it actuall;y works better in Hardpoint. If you get on a hardpoint, you gain 10 point every second or so, as with the decoy grenades, but you get great deal of additional attack or defend points. I started on kill confoirmed now do it on hardpoint since hardpoint is 10 times more effective than kill confiirmed, because at least all you have to do is throw the decoy grenades at the hardpoint every respawn and get attack points. You can level up a gun at least 1 notch a match doing this having a poor game but if you have a great game you can level up 2 levels or more. Forgot to add you get 450 points for being first securing it! The points in this mode is insane.

Another method, which is pretty stupid but also kinda funny: Load into that same defend Coop mode with a friend. Make sure you both have the medic selected before the match. Then instead of actually playing the game you both just go to the edge of the map. Take turns repeatedly going out of bounds and dying and getting revived. This method gets pretty boring but it works really good and is a super chill way of doing it.

Hey Ace great video! I have definitely been using Kill Confirmed plus some Dew XP to really get some of those troubling guns upgraded. What I'm trying to figure out is how to Solo Queue within the Defender: Mt. Zaya mode. If anyone is seeing a little box to check to disable fill (like Fortnite or Apex) just let me know! I actually enjoy the Defender mode as well, Survival in MW3 was one of my favorite modes to sit down, have a beer and shut your brain off and just shred with your favorite guns.

Ground War. Especialy Taraq. Grab an APC and just circulate between flags which are accessible for it. (Taraq has 4 which makes it best, but each of the others have at least 2) APC is great for that because it's a mobile spawn point and your teammates are going to start crawling out of it like it's a clown car, making caps much easier. Easy 300XP per cap + any kills you might score on the way. Don't stick around too long - recaping the flag later scores more exp than just defending it. Avoid vehicle to vehicle combat unless you can get behind them and score criticals on rear armor - any exp you earn in the vehicle counts towards the gun you used when mounting it. If you get a drill charge, get out, wait for it to explode and get back in - drill charge does not destroy the APC! If you die, spawn at base and wait for next APC drop, alternatively spawn in running APC and steal it when the driver bails for whatever reason. Using this method I usually get 3-4 levels per match, sometimes hardly killing anyone.

That is why there are so many decoys. I have been on both ends of invasion. Being pinned and pinning the other team in their spawn. I may try co-op modes, but I have no clue what to do. I will have to jump in and try it.

for the launchers leveling i just played hardpoint and played the objective. if im on the objective i just kill normally. if the hardpoint isn't taken yet hold the launcher when you enter the hardpoint and you get between 200 and 450 xp (450 xp by taking it when it swaps to a new location) if the enemies are on the hardpoint use the launcher. you damage the enemies most of the time which gives xp if someone kills them. there are also stupid amounts of UAVs in hardpoint.

Good method is to enter the tank on gw while swapping to weapon u want to level up and then just fragging with it and capping flags

Hardpoint should be given a honorable mention. Its both a very fun game mode for racking up kills, can get very tense and if you play objective + get some kills attacking/defending can give kill confirmed a run for its money

You also get a shit ton of EXP for being the first person at the hardpoint. If not, you usually get 100-200 EXP, which is still the equivalent of a kill.

Hardpoint. Always go for the new hardpoints for +450 exp, and defend the hardpoint for +200 exp per kill. It’s also super fun

I don't care for Invasion, so I've been playing KC, hardpoint, and dom, with decoy grenades, along with Extra Tactical, and Resupply as the main 2 perks on the class. You get 3 decoys per life with that setup and it's great.. Spam the decoys in different directions when you spawn, then play as normal. Remember to spam the decoys on every respawn too, when you die. Try to PTFO as much as possible, and you'll get a ton of XP. Especially with Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed. Try to hold the point or pick up as many tags as possible, along with getting kills, and you'll get several weapon levels per match.

Kill Confirmed is insane for XP. If you get 20 kills and 20 confirms that's 3000 xp. with Double xp that's 6000 xp. If you deny your own tag that's a massive 250-350 xp, which is 500-700 xp. Sometimes you'll get more than 75 due to multipliers.

Super secret, if you use the smoke drone field upgrade with the perk that gives you two you get 80 xp for dropping them, I’ve been a few short of a chopper gunner and just dropped thoughts and then got the streak

Good call on the co-op mission Ace. I hadn't considered solo queuing for that, as I've always been convinced that co-op missions needed a full sweat-fest to do! I'd like to get the intel on the co-op missions too, but don't have a group of friends that play the game.

No difference if you solo que or not. mw2 coop is 2-players max, might actually be better if you play with a friend so you can split up between sites (or have your friend leave for a solo match).

Capturing the B-flag for the first time in a match of Domination awards 500 XP. Given the asymmetric Map-Layout, there are several Maps where you are almost guaranteed to accomplish this, provided that you have been placed in the "Right" team!
