This was my last LMG that I needed for Diamond and was playing it through the patch, made such a difference. Like a sniper with unlimited ammo.

One of my favorite tricks with this gun is whenever you have a line of sight on the enemy's path to an objective, just keep pumping rounds where they would pop out of cover for a solid 5 seconds or so. If somebody runs out into your fire, great, otherwise it's plenty to keep them off the fastest route. Then, stop for just a second so they think you're reloading, and do it again. With extended mags, 300 RPM gives you 20 seconds of time where you can just hold the trigger without reloading, and like Ace said, the minimal recoil makes it easy to stay on target. Very powerful to lock down a choke point in War or hold on to a Hardpoint.

M1941 is my perfered rifle. 4x sight,steady aim for strafing, hardscope longer range when flanking otherwise i hip fire. Hunker and sticky and a knife for fun. If running hardcore infantry division I will put on advanced rifle barrel, hit markers get you killed.

The Bren is a crap gun. Abysmal hipefire spread, painfully slow rate of fire, obtrusive iron sights... The list goes on. The only redeeming things on the Bren is the damage, the accuracy and the extended mags bonus. Sledgehammer really needs to buff it's rate of fire to somewhere around 495 rpm and make the reload the fastest in its class.

I'm having a lot of fun with this gun since the buff. It's very satisfying to hit your first two shots and melt your enemies at any range. Just pre-aim everything and you'll have the upper hand in any gunfight

If you pre-aim, you aren't utilizing the buff. You are just playing the same way people who used the Bren pre-buff have been playing like.

The combatant 2 was the first heroic variant I got and I had never used the Bren before and I tried it out cause it was goofy lookin and now it's my favorite gun by far. I like 4x, ext mag, and fmj in infantry with lookout usually, DESTROYS in way

Just like the past 2-shot LMG's in the series (M60, Ameli, Gorgon, Mammoth) I absolutely LOVE using this gun. It sucks at close range, but is insanely good on medium/long range maps. I will NEVER play a game on Gustav Cannon without the Bren.

The mauler Mammoth lmg from IW fire rate was around 369 rounds a minute, the gorgon's fire rate was slightly slower lol the Bren is definitely a balanced version of a two shot kill lmg.

Bren is my baby, #1 used gun, I always run the extended mags and prefer the 4x over reflex personally as it's great for challenging sniper lanes (Looking at you Texas). My buddies think it's hilarious too you can hear that distinct boom-boom-boom from almost anywhere on the map when we play.

I’m angry with how SHG have depicted the Bren. Irl the Bren is basically the same but the fire rate is much much much faster than in the game. It was a British Infantryman’s first choice weapon to attack with, unless, ofc you have a Sten. This gun was literally so good you can snipe with it. It’s considered one of the best LMGs ever made, with some armies still using it to this day.

Best gun in the game I find it very strange that hardly anyone uses it, this thing is a beast I hate using sniper rifles but this thing is just as good as one once you train you're eye in and get used to the recoil which is very minimal like he said.

Love ur vids I really like the bren was struggling w cod then decided to try lmg instead of rifle and I found out that this was a 2 shot kill so I immediately tried it out and had like a 30 kill game personally I like using 4x or reflex QuickDraw extended mags and rapid fire w an infantry division so I don’t have a lot of idle sway and I can move faster while aiming down sight

I agree that QD and Reflex are a must, but why no mention of Grip? I tested Grip in the Firing Range and the first 2 bullets bounce quite a bit without Grip. With Grip, the first 2 bullets shoot much more accurately, which is what you want with a 2 shot capable weapon.

Personally I hate full auto guns with extremely slow fire rates in CoD, however The Bren is actually pretty decent because WW2 is waaay more grounded and slower paced anyway. Back in Black Ops 3, everyone and their grandma was using the Gorgon and I hated that thing. WAY too slow, I used either the Dingo or the BRM. Personally, The Bren works very well for me on Operation Neptune on Defence in Objective 1. There I can setup shop at the blown out wall of the left bunker, and chug down fire on the Allies. With a 4x Scope and Extended Mags, me and my team have been able to achieve victory in the first objective. While most are hosing everything that moves on the beach with MG42s, the Bren is a fun challenge weapon.

I don't understand why you'd ever use quickdraw on an lmg. If you're employing it in a defensive role like you should, you'll already be aiming before your target pokes their head out. Extended mags, rapid fire, fmg, an optic, or even a grip are all much more sensible choices on the lmgs

I want to like this weapon but it obstructs so much of your screen... it might be better with extended mags though. I don’t hate the iron sights but it is hard to track people that are moving simply because I lose them in all of the obstructions.

depends. Armored will give you less screenshake and also less effected by tacticals. Infantry will however give you more ammo, better strafe, and the ability to throw back grenades (hunker does that) For the Bren I would say armored could have a slight leg up, for the lewis I think I would still stick with infantry. But, as I said, it depends, I don't think you can really say one is better, its all about perks and tradeoffs, and its up to your play style and preference what you prefer most.

Personally? I feel that the Bren, with the new update, is incredibly overpowered. It has an extremely fast TTK, and very few weaknesses. I'm awful at LMGs, but I can still pick a Bren up off the ground and *easily* go on a 5+ killstreak. That shouldn't happen.
