Watching this made me think of the hallway scene of the first movie after the bee stung Scully. The look on Mulder’s face in this was as if to say, “They took her away once under the guise of EMTs, there’s no way in hell I’m letting it happen again”!

I have been such a huge fan of this show. Some of the stand alone episodes were so great! It really was the best and creepiest Sci Fi on TV for the "times."

Chris Carter is one sick puppy! Always has been. Anyway, I enjoyed the way Mulder protected Scully. He's tougher or something this year. One brilliant part is that the aliens don't want our dimming ember of a planet anymore! LOL THAT was the best part of the whole ep and who can blame them!

Cheap way to get out of the last season's cliffhanger to be honest but I enjoyed the premiere regardless, twists and turns that give you a headache in a good way :D

I wish that it turns out that CSM was just trying to get to Skinner by saying he impregnated Scully by injection. Even though the episode from season 7 might make sense as to how it happened

CSM was lying. According to a question posed to Sponitz at a convention Mulder is William's father. As Skinner once said "You can't trust a man who trades in lies." CSM was just hoping Scully would be his arm candy for 1 night.

Hannah G In a way. And includes elements of the first movie. I can mention flaws like many others do. But I actually think that it has a lot of elements from many older episodes and I had many flashbacks from a lot of episodes. I hope you will to while watching.

So disappointed with this episode, especially with the ending. Stop using rape as plot, for fuck's sake. Worst part is Chris Carter said "CSM did not rape Scully. He impregnated her with science." This is proof of what a misogynist he is. Ever heard of medical rape? Anyways, I don't think it's true. I believe by the end of the season we will know that CSM failed and Mulder is the father. But I'm still pissed.

Ok I love sending hate to CC. But this time he did better. It was not a bad episode. (Mulder driving the Mustang in high speed was too much.. ) Maybe it's because Morgan heped CC. I don't know. And the "I want to beLIEve" of the intro made me think CSM is not telling the truth. Good start.

It really was a much better episode than any of the three he wrote last year, which I know doesn't say much but I actually enjoyed it a lot. I think CSM is lying too but that part is still super annoying. It served no point in the episode other than YET ANOTHER "who is the father?" line. It wasn't funny in 2001 and it's still not. I set my expectations low for a CC episode but overall I'm pleased. The voiceovers were a little much even for Carter imo

last season Is technically Skully's seizure/coma being the vision of the future.. So Maulder and everyone else didn't get the virus yet. That UFO at the bridge was William giving her a hint it was him.
