When I first saw him at a distance, I felt he was my least favorite of the line (doesn't mean much as this whole line is incredible). As you got closer and I could see the detail and paint, it blew me away. The pose looks great and will look fantastic with the rest of the line.

I see what your saying about the motion. I'm thinking now that I wish they did him battle damaged in this pose. WITH a cracked and shattered helmet so part of 1 eye and part of him gritting and bearing his teeth is showing. That would be intense combined with this moving forward pose.

Beautiful statue especially with the vivid colors. The attention to detail is great. Red Hood might be completely well known but DC has been focusing on him a lot lately and wouldn’t doubt a one off movie coming out pretty soon which will only increase his popularity.

Looks very good. Small footprint so it doesn't have the eleborate base as the other samurai piece but the concept, paint app and the switch outs makes it a very cool piece. 🙂

This Samurai concept line is running a mock with the concept pieces. Some they put alot of effort into and others, it seems like they just half assed them. Even though Redhood Character is not as popular as others, they did a fantastic job with this piece. The portraits all look great. The paint job on the clothing and base is also great. That green slimy liquid in the bucket on the ground, is supposed to be the resurrecting liquid from the Lazarus pit. The thing that brought him back after he was killed by the Jocker. Every thing looks amazing. The only thing I don't like is that gun. I would have preferred a flint single shot pistol instead. Like the ones the pirates used in the old days. I for one am glad I didn't get involved with the whole Batman Samurai line. It is both overpriced and takes up alot of room. Still I can't deny that this Samurai concept Redhood sculpt is well thought out and amazingly sculpted. I love it. Congrats on getting him Mr. X. Don't get dressed up as a Samurai to impress Mrs. X unless you do have a long kitana to work with, because if you just have the short blade sword sh is just going to laugh. Anyway thank you for sharing this beautifully made statue with us.

Man, that red hood is epic as a samurai. Not my cup of Tea (wouldn’t fit in anything I have currently) but that is pretty damn cool. Base is awesome, the current portrait on him full hood is best !!! Even though the other full mask with more samurai and nose is cool.

Interesting that you say he isn’t that popular. I’m a huge red hood fan, but I do think casuals don’t know him as much. But the people who know who he is, absolutely love him. He is a fan favorite character of the bat family and has a huge fan base. Just wish they did more red hood pieces

Alot of cheddar for these.... I have a hard time with the character at times. Was shocked when they killed him a tad, but this Lazarus put gives me heartburn. I will not however take anything away from the statue because it is awesome almost perfect. I had to take like a half point away from it because the option of Hood holding a gun when he is presented as a Samari almost gave me heartburn as well. I used to play Injustice 2 mobile and the Ninja Batman has to be my favorite Batman.

He’s been a very successful and favored character since his introduction in Under The Red Hood. He was featured prominently in the recent 3 Jokers limited series and numerous video game, animated and live action appearances.
