to be fair it's incredibly counter intuitive to stop playing the objective once you win a fight. This is the only gamemode where that's sometimes optimal and it's not obvious why until you've seen it in action. It's an incredibly poorly designed gamemode where you're actively punished for playing the objective from a winning position.
