What a treat! Just makes me smile. The band is great and Rachael is on top of her game and seems to be having a ball. I like Lake Street Dive a lot, but I probably like Rachael singing jazz and standards even more.

When I first heard her with Lake Street Dive I could hear singing Soul and Jazz like this. Wow!

She had two jazz albums before LSD's self-title came out.

I adore this kind of music so much, and this band + this singer + this song is a complete win. Also, I'd love to own that dress, haha.

I think she just might have sung some jazz before.

I believe this is the Gershwin song sung by Ginger Rogers in the Rogers/Astaire movie "Swingtime ," considered their best of 10 movies.

It was "Shall We Dance," not "Swing Time."

While always there on time, in tune. Rachel positively vibrates with expectation at keeping up with the sounds she hears. It's like watching programed strobe lights.

Saw them in concert last week, bassist Bridget Kearney described it as a vocal firework display, every song. I like your description as well, the most dynamic female vocalist I have ever seen live and I have been to a few rodeos in 65 years. bogeysbeat.blogspot.com/2018/05/come-on-in-waters-fine-lake-street-dive.html

She’s in yellow. Everyone else is in black or gray or brown. Yes. That is the deal. One of them is the star. Only one. Everyone else is supporting. 😅

I know this song from the movie, 'The Whole Nine Yards' sung by the biddles trio. It has a great jazz soundtrack and the movie introduced me to Mose Allison!

It’s a nice, fun version, but I disagree. And I’m sure that Rachael would disagree with you too.

Love It! The ancient Greeks knew the earth was round. Christopher Columbus was way off on his estimate of the size of the world. He was so lucky Queen Isabella was willing to fund his ill conceived voyage.

Bruh, it's a song from a musical. Just appreciate it and realize the incorrect history is also something interesting to study from history.

Jazz is such a unique genre that I doubt it'd ever completely die.

If you had told this guy back in the 70’s that I’d be listening to the music of my parents, and loving it, yeah, I would have laughed at you for being silly. But a funny thing happened on the musical journey of my life..... I still love the Stones, Zeppelin, The Who, Bowie & a ton of other classic rock acts. However, as I’ve aged, I found that there is an entire catalog of Blues, Jazz, Americana, Alt-Country and even a few current rock acts that deliver the goods to music slaves like me. Rachael Price is as talented a vocalist as there is in music today - regardless of genre. Rhiannon Giddens is another talented musician who can play multiple instruments and sing anything from Gaelic folk songs to R&B. There are always great musicians in every era who fly under the radar or you missed out on them when they were popular in the past. In this age, with the ability to see or hear any music you desire at your fingertips, don’t be afraid to explore..... you’ll eventually find out that what may have been fingernails on the blackboard in the past now has a certain appeal, or a new artist who gives you hope for the future of the industry.

It'll be around longer than jerkoffs who watch jazz videos and then comment that they hate jazz
