Pau sings lead on 5 songs at this concert, including 2 solo performances on Piano, one with a string section.

Pau[pow] Paulina, that drummer is 5ft of dynamite. She sings lead in several songs including two solo (Black Holes & Breathe)on the piano that require tissues. They were all sick at this concert but powered through. This "Pepsi Center" was in Mexico City. There are 23 songs in this performance so you can adjust accordingly. Have fun!

"That's crazy, drummers don't always get parts like that" you know what is crazier? singing while playing a drum fill like this 3:45 🤯. The drummer is Pau (pronounced POW) she was awarded as the rock drummer of 2023 by Drumeo and won the Up and Coming category in Modern Drummer's 2023 Readers Poll, now she is nominated for the Rock category this year by Modern Drummer Magazine. She is a beast on drums ❤.

@@TrueWishEntertainmentShe trains by singing while running on a treadmill. There are two other things that make this performance even more impressive (and the first applies to the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert as well if you watch that one): 1) Mexico City is at a high elevation - 7350 feet / 2240 meters, so the air is really thin; singing there is a *lot* of work. 2) All three sisters were getting over the flu at the time and were not at their best, but later on, during her performance of “Breathe,” Pau says that she’s still really sick. All three of them have a really strong work ethic, and it shows.

It would be a waste of talent not to give her the space to sing lead. And they are already wasting the incredible, warm and sultry voice of their bassist who doesn't want to sing lead. She could add a whole new dimension to the band if she were to overcome her shyness. And I haven't given up on hoping yet. :-)

Yes, they all sing. They all play piano. Pau (POW!!!) is essentially a second lead vocalist on 20% to 25% of their songs. (Wait until you hear her on *Dust to Dust, 23, Black Holes,* and *Breathe.* ) She just did a co-lead with Dead Poet Society at Aftershock 2024. Dany has done similar lead roles with Three Days Grace. Ale can sing lead when the others are sick, but prefers backing vocals and harmonies. This was their tenth anniversary show, when they were 18, 21, and 23! They released their fourth album this year, but they played a few songs from it at this concert. They have been immersed in music and their band since they were little kids. Their choice, with full parental support. Parents tour with them!

Just for yucks, if you search, you can find little snippet ads for Pepsi Black with Dany, Pau, and Ale; agreeing to be the face of that specific product in Mexico is part of what got them this gig. 2:10 They’d performed in big arenas when opening for other bands - I think the biggest crowd they’d performed for at the time had been in the 55000 range, opening for Foo Fighters - but according to Wikipedia, this was 7500 people who came just to see The Warning. This past summer they did the Wäcken Open Air and Pol’and’Rock festivals, which are huge. The Warning always has a special energy in front of a crowd, but in front of a Mexican crowd it doesn’t just go up to 11 - it’s more like 15. 3:35 I think every reactor has the same reaction to Pau at one time or another. (Those that don’t just stare at the screen in stunned awe.) And yes, as other commenters have said, if you think this singing is something, hold onto your socks. 14:47 There’s a joke that goes: If you speak two languages, you’re called bilingual. If you speak three languages, you’re called trilingual. If you speak one language, you’re called American. Unfortunately, I richly deserve it - I’m terrible with languages and always have been. I tried different languages in school but the only one that I got anywhere with was Latin because you don’t actually have to speak it. The fact that DPA can speak, compose, and sing so well in their second language is impressive, and now they throw in a bit of a third.

You wait until you see them with their "Dust to Dust/Dull Knives", 2 excellent songs linked in which in the 1st, Pau, the drummer, is the main vocalist and, as you get to know, The Warning more you discover that they have several styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!! And I continue to reaffirm my humble but very own opinion that with its structure, its cuts, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings… All of this is masterful. The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all of this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication. There could always be other options, but the ones they chose seem to be the exact ones to create a masterpiece of art. Also impregnating everything with a natural touch of inevitable sensuality that only adds improvement and with the feeling, sensitivity and passion of their blood, race and culture. Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. They have that gift that only belongs to the geniuses that appear among us every certain period of time. This is the youngest veteran band in the rock world!! Without forgetting that there are only three of them, yes, but three true geniuses in their field. Melodically they are the best, without a doubt. They are the queens of the hook, the riff, the key changes, the contagious rhythms, the catchy melodies, the sublime voices, the unbeatable harmonies and the ambiguous but deep and powerful messages. And this happens song after song… INCREDIBLE!! The new masters of rock: The warning ⚡ For now I'm subscribing to your channel because I hope to see many more from you to my favorite band of all time. Thanks and greetings from México!! 🇲🇽 🤘😁✌️ .

If you need something more upbeat maybe try Survive, or if you want something that rocks hard, try Dust to Dust/Dull Knives, all from this concert at Pepsi Center. The outro for Dust to Dust was something new they surprised the fans with for this performance. Pau is an excellent singer in her own right and does sing lead on a few songs but a couple of those from the Pepsi Center are pretty emotional and dark, may need to work up to those two (Black Holes, Breathe).

If you demand happy songs, this is not your band. But they are masters of writing dark lyrics to lively, upbeat music (Red Hands Never Fade). The few songs that have positive happy lyrics (Fade Away, Survive) are more FU songs. Amour is their idea of a love song. Stalker, from their second album (Queen of the Murder Scene) is a severely warped "love" song.

This video was fine but the Choke video you should have paused the video to talk. It's scientifically proven that humans can not speak and listen at the same time because your attention is divided between talking and processing information. The same goes for absorbing the lyrics and music at the same time which is why listening to a song over and over let's you pick out more and more stuff that you didn't take in on the first listen, I'm all about the music so I don't even care what words are being used as long as the vocalist can hit the right notes for the song but if I listen to the actual lyrics being sung and try and comprehend their meaning I miss the music ie: bass, drum & guitar lines individually & as a whole. It's the same as talking on your phone and driving, every idiot thinks they are masters at it but your brain is only fully concentrating on one or the other, proven by all the carnage from distracted drivers over years.
