You guys don't understand how special this song is. It's like a slowed down version of Lusamine's theme without some details-- so glad they implemented it into the anime Edit: WOAAAAH there people got triggered that's for sure. Thats the internet for you, huh? Anyways, I totally forgot about the Mother and Daughter song, so thanks for that reminder! Apperantly that's what this song is, my bad! But still though, it's really cool that they put this into the anime! Anyways, that's what I was thinking. A few got kinda passive-agressive triggered with me saying "You guys don't understand" which is my bad since it can be interpreted pretty wrongly. I meant to come across as to show how excited I am about this fact-- since I am a pretty big pokemon fan after all. It was supposed to sound like "ooOHhh ShOOT you guysss omgggg you don't understannnddd" as a sort of expression and not to be taken literally. I did use a period there though, so I might have not conveyed it properly. It wasn't supposed to be like a "r/notliketheothergirls" kinda thing, it was just a way I tried to show enthusiasm.

Based on all the things I've seen from this channel, anime has been accurately animating pianos while American animated films and shows do not. It's interesting to see how the studios are covering even minor details like this, so that's some cool insight! Edit: Just gonna clarify, I'm a loser who watches a lot of anime (recently hit over 1000 series watched), so I know which anime series have been animated correctly for instruments. I just found it interesting there was a significant difference in animation from the US and Japan. *2nd edit because there are salty fucks in the replies* This is all under the context of the videos *this* channel has uploaded. Yeah there are anime series who animate musical instruments wrong. Yes there are western animations that animate instruments correctly. I'm not trying to say that Japanese animation is superior, because to be honest, most western animations are honestly better with things I've seen. I was just noting the trend that I saw from this channel and the videos they've posted along with noting how most Japanese studios will try to keep even small details accurate

well, anime regularly manage to use the proper vehicles and ship and such too in their shows, and also the models are accurate in many case beyond reason, while the western stuff already considered good if they show a tank when talking about tanks.

I just need to take a minute to appreciate the animation on Lillie’s hand, because WOW, that is SO GOOD. Hands are hard enough to draw already and to make them move so smoothly and consistently like that is just amazing

What I find interesting in this example compared to, say, Your Lie in April, Neon Genesis Evangellion or Jojos, is that Pokemon is a Weekly series, while the others are usually all prepared, refined, and then released in one go. Pokemon gets less time for that process to be carried out, so for this to be done correctly is a great testemant to the individual animator.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure had weekly releases until part 6, and part 6 is getting weekly releases in "not america" apparently, so actually no, it has just as much time as Pokemon, maybe more, Netflix is just being lazy not releasing them once a week anymore.

@@RayOfTruth Wait... do you think the *exact* same team of the *exact* same animators for every season?? They probably have one portion of the company on one season while the other plans the next one, then trade off for the next one or something, and the fact that you said "no gap between seasons..." like... seasons as in 1, 2, 3, or seasons as in shows, Indigo League, Johto, Advanced Battle, etc. Because if you meant seasons, like 1, 2, 3... Pokemon just isn't one of the shows that has gaps in seasons, you could just play it straight as one season and it'd be the same. But if you mean seasons as in shows, B&W, X&Y, etc, then no. They have massive gaps between shows sometimes, and whenever they are making a new show, they wouldn't have the same team on both episodes. You're basically just trying to say that the animators having time to make the show happens on JoJo developement, and not Pokemon, when in fact, there has definitely been good and bad developement times for each show. Basically, what I'm saying here is: They both have very, very similar amounts of planning, just completely different release scheduals that have no indication of how much time each company spent on animating each show. David Productions could absolutely force animators to make a whole episode in a month, and OLM Inc. could very easily spend 1 year on a single scene, but they don't. Essentially, you clearly just don't understand the process behind making a show, especially an anime, not that that's a bad thing, just do a bit of research, then come back.

@@thepsycheduck By seasons I do mean each seperate series like Advanced Battle, XY, Sun & Moon, etc. Technically there are usually 1-2 weeks between seasons, but still not comparable to JoJo. And yes, all of the main series Pokemon anime is made by the same studio, OLM.

@@MysticAstrea Even if they did the right thing for once and kept the theme because it's played in-universe, it would just be an oasis in the middle of the desert that is the treatment of the anime's soundtrack in Western dubs. The downgrade if you compare it with the original version is too big, with the last decade being especially painful. They damage their own product only to get extra cash from the dubs that are forced to use TPCi's version as base. Money that Pokémon obviously doesn't really need to keep going.

Out of all the different themes that used piano for their main melody in Pokémon, I am so glad it was this one. Simply because because of what it represents. Not just one Character's theme, not even the theme of a group of Characters either, but the that's shared amongst and represents a whole entire family. And a family that's been through so much heartbreak and has only recently been fully healed. MAN ALIVE, I WISH THEY HAD HANDLED THE AETHER FAMILY ARCH IN THE GAMES LIKE THEY DID IN THE ANIME! We never get that conclusion because only in the original Sun and Moon games do we get that emotional Character development for Lillie and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon they left it out completely and instead had her go a more complete arch but the one thing they added was Professor Mohn being reunited only to have completely forgotten everything about his family and that they were even a part of his life. And Lusamine actually does arguably the wrong thing in NOT being selfish for THE ONE TIME SHE ISN'T. AND ONLY GLAFION SEES THIS AND NOT LILLIE AND I SHARE HIS EXACT FRUSTRATION IN HIS MOTHER'S DECISION! I only wish that more of the events from the Anime were cannon to the games for situations precisely like this one. There are rarely things that the Anime does better than the games. But this is certainly the next of them along with Pokémon Contests and Coordinators, the entire X and Y Anime, and now the Aether Family Saga.
