This map is designated as soldiers map. But as usual, its the vets that give the best bonus. Fortunately the academy is usually accessible early game. most upgrades are at 100k gold. Usually best thing is to upgrade stonehouse economy, as it is capped at 15 times but will give gold comparable to its base building gold cost (map itself is double housing cost for double income). Still, for this map, you basically start with the 60 stacked camps right at the south of town hall. upgrades regarding storage and electrical is seperated, but usually when you are stuck at chokepoint and food required for more soldiers, upgrading storage is better. Beware on tripping triggers as later triggers do increase zeds hp.

Why you don’t use gate

Troops can move through a gate automatically, so when he was building up units in each area, they could flow back out in the farming areas and not be useful. Units cannot pass through walls normally, so they keep the troops inside the rally areas. As for defenses, the gates cover 3 tiles and when the gate is destroyed you now have a hole 3 tiles wide for zombies to move through. Whereas you can place 3 wood walls in the same space as 1 gate and zombies have to destroy all 3 to create the same size hole as destroying a single gate. Also, a single gate has less HP than 3 walls, so your defenses are tougher with just walls, than with walls and gates.

Ok… I can answer that one. Gates are typically seen as a weak point in the wall since they cover 3 tiles while only having the health of a single wall.
