You'll notice that Goldie Delicious pulls a book out of the bottom of the stack exactly like Pinkie does with the stack of scrolls at the beginning of the episode. This, more than anything, is the reason I believe Pinkie is actually related to the Apples. The writer of the episode didn't do that on accident. Though, this doesn't change the fact that 'fourth cousin twice removed' is a distant enough relation that it really doesn't matter. Everyone is related if you go far enough. Auntie Applesauce's great great great grandparent would be an unknown Pie family member's great great great great great grandparent, or vice-versa (3 or 5 greats). If we assume that is the closest relation of the two families (otherwise why record that one specifically?), then Pinkie and AJ are likely even more distant than that. I believe that this means that Applepie shipping is totally fine.

“Rarity Takes Manehattan” is something unique when it’s also the debut of Coco Pommel and her arrogant mentor Suri Polo. Fortunate we never get to see the latter ever again after this. To Rarity and to quote a certain song “Generosity is her enemy.” (22:07) This show couldn’t get anymore meta with that statement! Time stamp at 1:03:15 - 1:03:16 but Ainsley blocked it so you can barely see it but if you go to the episode and you slow it down to the part where pinkie pie is about to roll on app and when she does slow it down and look carefully to the bushes on aj’s left side you could see him looking at them and disappearing after the rolling.

Ive been waiting to say this. In the episode "pinkie apple pie" Pinkie finds the letter with the smudges. She assumes that it says "pie" but actually l, it says 'pear', foreshadowing to the fact that the apples are related to the pears, and that Big Mac, Apple Bloom,and Applejack are half pear because of their mom, Pear Butter or better known as Buttercup. I think this is true this is my opinion. I can back it up because the family relation is revealed in season seven, the episode being called 'the perfect pear'

"Rarity Takes Manehattan" is one of my favorite season 4 episodes, the songs are just so catchy and of course the secondary characters were interesting, but the only one I didn't like was Suri Polomare since she was the main antagonist of Rarity Takes Manehattan Suri was a real snake in the grass for taking advantage of Rarity's generosity and then copying Rarity's line and passing it off as her own, but on some level it's Rarity's own fault because that's what she gets for being too generous, but at Rarity learned her lesson in the end. And seeing Pinkie Pie go on a cross-country adventure with the Apple family to find out if they're related in "Pinkie Apple Pie" was awesome! Don't get me started on "Rainbow Falls." All I'll say is that RD's element of harmony was really put to the test in that episode, And the fact that she traded one team for another really sucks but at least she learned her lesson in the end. And finally "Three's A Crowd" was a very interesting Discord episode. It was the first and sadly the only time in the series that hear see Discord sing a song, And of course it was also good to see Cadence again since this was the first appearance that she made in season 4.
