The reason madara didnt finish off sasuke and walked away was because he respects sasuke as a fellow uchiha and for his will to not give up and he reminds madara of his younger self and his brother izuna so he wanted to give sasuke a chance of life. It really shows that despite being a villan that madara shows honor and respect to who he thinks deserves it

It is simply to prop Sakura up and give her her moments. Even Tsunade had her Byakugo seal and therefore had enough Chakra to help Naruto but again she isn't the main character and not part of Team 7 so Sakura has to come and help Naruto.
