whats the worst tank to go up against in ranked as doom? I feel like its either hog or mauga because its way harder to ignore them and carry (+ ur block is basically useless) rather than orisa that cant really reach you.

I’m no zbra obv but I find hog to be a lot more oppressive than mauga, because mauga can’t protect his team from empowered punch as well as as a hog hog hook can. Also the hook combo does so much of dooms health so quickly

The worst matchup for me usually is either Hog or Orisa. Hog could nearly one-shot you and can hook you out of all your skills while having a healing ability. While Orisa can basically counter all your ability. Personally rather fight a Hog over an Orisa any day. At least I can still punch the Hog around.

imo hog is the worst, was high rank last season and hardly play anymore after placements. i play perfect but it doesn’t matter once they go hog, he doesn’t ever kill me bc i’m just better and don’t let him, but he literally can not die to my team even if he’s 1v5. just so broken. i can contest their dps or force supp cooldowns with good timing and without dying but hog just sits there and kills my team 1v5. and you can’t go on him bc you’re literally doomfist and there’s enemy dps that will be able to shoot for free. it’s so disappointing to be so good and do so much and you’re dps go negative every other game. i just can’t stand how every other game i’ll go 20-1 or something close to that playing relatively agressive with good timing and my dps are negative as well as my supports. even tho i’m contesting their hitscan or peeling the dive or distracting their backline. game is just decided by hero picks and dps and supps anymore. just a terrible experience especially on console. can be the best player and it won’t matter with these kids on your team. i get that you can’t win every game but i should be in fucking diamond playing out of my mind every game.

@@aidenmontgomery9205no offense as yes you may very well be good but the issue here is look to see what you can do differently. If hog was a sure win against doomfist everytime zbra would get cooked by a hog everytime. Personally what I realize is that even though I may be going crazy against my counters like hog. If your team is just struggling because they’re not as good you need to be able to play PEELfist during mid fights sometimes. Like yes go past the hog and then isolate or delay his back line from helping him, and when your team burns out some of his breather heals you quickly get back and now his team has to spend time walking to him and he should die by then. When you get back just save punch to cancel any hooks to keep your team up, and still cancel breather after that when he’s low

I think this is a perfect example of what really needs to be changed in this game. It might be impossible or hard to get right, but if matchmaking actually worked this game would be more fun. It still needs you know tweaks couple hero changes balances what not but for the most part, it would be more enjoyable. That and bring back 6v6

THISSSSSSSSS. What makes it annoying is that all of the counter picks for doom are BRAINDEAD. What sense does it make that an easy character counters a difficult skill ceiling character ? Counter picks should be equally difficult skill ceiling characters or at least not braindead easy I would not mind getting outplayed by another good player. Like for example doomfist can lowkey counter doomfist if you just peel and cancel his abilities. I never get mad at another good doomfist just being annoying and trying to stop me from killing his team if they can’t stop me
