Your a good man. I like your channel. And possibly the true God is unknowable “in our form” and most know there is something greater than atheism. Possibly, people make stories to connect with the higher. What’s going on in the middle east are two factions with different stories. Both thinking that they are the ones that are connected to God and that they are the owners of specific property, which is just some random dirt patch on Earth. Both groups over the years have made their stories, deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper. Their stories are connected to every aspect of their life and their very existence, because both groups think that they are the chosen ones these wars will never stop; the only way they’re going to stop, is when we realize we are all one on earth. We are all individualized expressions of the true God and he, she, or it does not want us killing one another. Shalom. Blessings to you and yours.

The Jews were named in the Bible as the “chosen” ones. They did not claim it for themselves. Once you realise that being chosen was not favouritism, it was a duty for them to keep the faith. They were also given a long list of things they have to do and things they may not do. Other people do not have to carry out all those additional duties and the get a free pass on most of them. Jews on the other hand are more harshly judged. That’s what being “chosen” means. Anyone may choose to become one of the “chosen” and take on all those duties of their own free will. They have a choice.

There have been debates for years who was the original inhabitant of the land and who has the right to claim the land. In order to live in peace, we need to recognize different groups all share the same rights to the land. One group shouldn't be forcing another out with guns, swords and other weapons. Ideally if you want a piece of land that is already occupied by other people, you should put an offer to buy the land and it's yours. Stop fighting and treat everybody as the children of God. The case of S Africa if we assumed the Blacks were the original inhabitants and have rights to the land then there should not be other races including Whites & Indians who migrated later. The fact that the country remains peaceful is because the government embraces diversity with everybody treated equally.

On this subject, I heartily recommend a track I discovered by accident (it appeared in my 'recommended' feed) by a British band called UNIT. The track is A Tribute To The Israeli Defence Force and it is excellent - tuneful and forceful without being bombastic combined with a lovely lyric. I know next to nothing about the group but on investigation I see they've recorded a whole batch of Jewish related tracks such as Pesach, Yom Kippur, Bar Mitzvah, Israel Is Real, The 613 Mitzvot and probably others I don’t know about yet. Some of them feature Rabbi Moshe Bryski which is definitely a recommendation in itself.

What lies at the heart of it on both sides is power seeking with no empathy for their fellow man. Psychology calls this Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD). The common term is psychopathy. Serial killers are psychopaths but so is anyone with absolutely no empathy for others. As I have said many times, Abraham and God are crying. The children of Abraham, both the Jews and the Arabs, were both promised this land. Now and during many times in the past, instead of working together as the children of Abraham, they have both violently fought and murdered each other. As with psychology, there is only one thing that matters to God. That is the heart. Those with hearts for their fellow humans know God. Those without hearts for their fellow humans can't know God. They push themselves away from God. This is because God is love. Selfishness, greed, hatred, cruelty and lack of caring about others push people away from God because they are the opposite of love. God only wants us all to love and help each other. Those who don't separate themselves from God who is the God of all mankind, the creator of all. It is always very sad to see that so many don't understand this simple truth. It is the truth in this world but also in the other world. God is in both worlds. God does come to this world. Unfortunately, many ignore God in favor of their own desires and against their fellow humans. Yes, capitalism is against God. It is greedy and selfish, uncaring for others. In fact, those who made capitalism the viewpoint of most Americans were called the Robber Barons because they lied to the American workers in order to cause them to do as they desired because they sought power and wealth against all others. Psychopathy. God is love. Anything that isn't love isn't coming from God. That is how you can know who knows God and who doesn't. It doesn't matter which religion or lack of religion one chooses. It is a simple truth of all of mankind. It doesn't matter if someone is a pastor or a priest, an imam or a rabbi. It is the same for all children of God which is every single person on earth. Rabbi, be honest. There are many in the Hebrew scriptures who also called for violence. It is the same as jihad. I don't have a religion because religion is of men. Spirituality is of God. One religion is no better than any other. When someone thinks that theirs is the only right religion, they show their lack of love for their fellow humans and that is against the God of all mankind. There is only one God of all.

The word Palestina or Palestine was never used before the Romans. The origin of that word is the Hebrew word which appears in the Bible and is translated as Philistines. It was a Hebrew exonym "phalastine" for a few small invading tribes occupying what is now the territory of the Gaza strip and some nearby cities in Israel's territory like Ashkelon and Ashdod. They were a loosely connected coalition of city states invading Israel in the times of the Bible. They were defeated long before the Roman conquest. Shabbat of the body? Or Shabbat of the heart? Circumcised in flesh or in the heart? Peace is coming but birth pangs come before the baby arrives. I’m looking at Isaiah 11:11-12. Israel comes back from being scattered over the world. They are re-established in the land but something happens so the Israelis fly on the shoulder of the Gaza Strip v14a. Some problem then occurs with Jordan v14b. Egypt gets into economic and resource trouble. The earlier section of Isa 11 describes some of the Shabbat peace that is coming though.

A very stimulating discussion, sir. I’m thinking your introductory arguments could also be applied to understanding Ezekiel 38. Many say big nations with many resources will descend on little Israel to get her natural resources. Ezekiel says gold, silver and cattle. I’m thinking that what the land is rich in is that authentic connection to the true Creator you mentioned and those three commodities will have spiritual significance.
