Hey TCNick3, I'm one of the guys who worked on the mod. The thing with gliding (including Up-B) is that it works exactly the same as it did in Brawl. You need to aim downwards first as the longer you descend, the more speed you build up that allows you to pitch up and ascend for longer. Do not up aim upwards straight away. Granted it takes practice and getting used to but it has insane recovery when you master it.

The biggest issue with Brawl Meta Knight is that there aren’t any bad inputs. While the skill ceiling is very high, mashing anything besides his jab is better than half of the cast in Brawl. It’s not that it doesn’t have skill involved, it’s that the skill was optional.

This reminds me of an idea I had a while back: A smash game where you can pick which game's mechanics you use. So you can queue up with a smash 4 mechanics bayo, or a melee fox. Possibly even combos that don't actually exist, like a brawl little mac (for some reason). It would be a nightmare to make work, but it could be so fun if they figured out a way to make it playable.

64 Pika being completely intangible while using up-B, with tail attacks bigger than most swords, and a Thunder that sends up at such high speeds that it kills at disgustingly low percent and aerials that pin you in shield until it breaks. Melee Fox with frame-1 shine and an up-air that deletes stocks disgustingly quickly. Sm4sh Bayo effectively having 5 jumps, Witch Time trapping you longer the higher the percent your attack would do, down-smash at ledge being such a strong spike it can kill a wide array of characters at 0, the air mobility to directly contest Puff . . . Honestly, the real question is which one is MOST busted.

@@hahalerymc6878 For that tactic to work consistently, he needs to be able to get that one stock lead in a majority of games he's in. It's why Peach, even with the Peach Bomber tech being possible in both Melee and early Brawl (where some of the stages with something under the stage to Peach Bomber infinite were still legal), was never top tier. She had an infinite stall you couldn't challenge, but couldn't consistently get into the winning position to start USING that stall. The difference between cheese and dangerous tech is consistency, my friend.

Brawl Meta Knight. Pokémon are turn based and have long-ass animations for each move. Their fastest move is, like, frame 300. Most of the Avengers cannot do anything if Meta Knight air camps. Hulk is combo food, and his Up-B invalidades Iron Man's entire kit. Superman and the Flash are the only ones who can match his framedata, but the Flash gets sharked and edgeguaded fairly easily. Superman is close to an even matchup, but there is not much he can do if Meta Knight camps ledge invincibility.
