⚡⚡ *Love the clean, simple box,* not that weird multicoloured one they had ⚡⚡ No "quick shart" in the box this time 👀 I'm not a fan of the handle personally but I'm glad they added it for people who like one, options for everyone are good. Great basic board, great they are still makin these!

They definitely have been pushing out a lot of boards in all over the spectrum of entry positions. This is a great option for a first or even send set board if you’re looking for light weight portability!

True! The hole does provide some type of protection to lock it up! I like the color choir three went with on this the black grey and raw wood is a nice touch!

Great video Drew!! The board looks lovely! I like the similarities to the Voyager in terms of how it looks. I like that new remote too. I find the screen a bit of a distraction. I think I prefer the shape of the V3 deck, but I love the exposed wood. The V5 looks really nice! How does it feel compared to the V4?

Thanks Ronan! It’s a totally different feel than the v4 I’ll go more in Depth with my full review. But the deck is longer and flexy like so I prefer it!

Hub boards have the closest feeling to regular long boards so you’ll feel cracks and bumps on the road.

Hey Drew! Nice review, mate! Can I ask a quick question? Did you have to do anything to activate the push start? I just received my V5 and it's not working like that. I have to actually press the power button to power the board on 🤔

No, you just need to push the board forward or backwards. It is only one of the back wheels that actually turns it on. But put it on the ground keep your foot on it and give it a good shove and it should activate!

I took mine out for the first ride yesterday….3 miles into the ride, the front right wheel rubber spun right off, exposing just metal wheel…I was maybe 12 mph…could’ve been ugly. Can somebody explain this wheel design? It’s literally a thin piece of rubber over a massive metal wheel.

@@DrewElia it was the rear drive wheel….i guess those wheels only have a thin rubber layer on it? Beneath it, it’s metal , aluminum I’m guessing

No screen on the remote at all, but honestly I don’t mind it. It makes you focus more on your ride! Plus you can track speed and distance on other apps on your phone which are way more accurate.

Yeah the Awd was totally crazy back in the day! I would say that the hurricane was the ( full pun intended) perfect storm for the team at meepo! They knocked it out of the park for a really affordable higher end board! It’s just that now more companies are pushing the battery envelope further. We shall see what Meepo has up their sleeve for their next series of boards.

@@DrewElia i have the hurricane and i upgraded the cushings and the tires u had linked the 105s sooo much better . I also have the shredlight on it . Totall beast cant wait to ride it when it gets warmer . Here in boise idaho they have a greenbelt thats like 22+ miles long !!! Its so fun riding it

It’s one of those things that I agree with and don’t agree with, it makes the rider focus more on riding like the original boosted style remotes also had no screen. At the same Time it was nice to have some type of visual reference, but there are a ton of apps that can track your speed and distance! I’ll go over it in my full review!

Aesthetically it’s different and the build quality is actually really good on the new ESC when I opened it up, this is a beginner or intermediate level board though, you’re only getting 9-10 miles of range if you’re just slow cruising at a heavier weight rider. I’m doing a full review of this and going to release it in the next week or so.
