Definitely not a 99.9% ratio. Took an environmental science class and one lab was testing tap water and from many different counties they failed the simplest tests. One of the students had visible floating particulates. I remember days in school where we were not allowed to drink tap water and they had to give us water bottles through the day. About 8 years ago they changed where they chlorinate the tap water on our line so now it's about half a mile up the road from us. As a result watering house plants with tap water once kills them. And it tastes kinda bad. So my dad got a ionic filter installed that's slow but removes chlorine ions from the water and it's what he and I use. Before we got it installed and my mother still uses spring water from my grandparents house. They have a natural spring that they hooked up to their taps and when my parents visit they will bring 4/5 5l bottles and take 20l of water home with them. If they haven't been in a while they'll get a 5l from the supermarket instead. Getting bottles of water to drink is psychotic.

Down in parts of Texas the tap water in my experience is really really gross and if it’s safe, it’s barely safe. When I was little I did tests on it with those metal testing stripes and would leave it out because my parents kept telling me it was okay. Thin rainbow filament forms on top if I leave it out for a day. I went to upstate New York a couple times when I was younger and was astonished to learn you could drink tap water, and it tasted really good.

Another thing about the water and Powerade is that I think the person who bought it just didn't read that they were buying like packs of water bottles. I think they were just trying to buy a dozen water bottles and 3 powerades and instead bought 12 dozen flats of water and 3 6 packs of Powerade.

What I find really confusing about the idea of AI ads is that the actual cost of the commercial is basically meaningless; the money all goes into buying ad space. They're making their advertising worse for essentially no benefit.

It's kinda the case with all this "AI" stuff and the same sort of hype around all this other nonsense like the metaverse but LLM stuff seems to be really sticking. It's like purely idealogical, a like religious idolisation of whatever the new thing is, a fear of being a late adopter I guess. The CEOs of these kinds of places just fundamentally believe in inventions that cut out workers from the equation so hop on it even if it's terrible. I bet it cost near as much to touch up these ads to be usable as it would to film some coca cola related b-roll.

Okay, regarding that anime girl thing. There should definitely be more anime girls with accents (or just voices that sound like real people and not the physical manifestation of UWU), but in this case, I'd argue that the voice doesn't match the dialogue. Especially that little stutter thing at the end. It just sounds really unnatural in that voice. Like, you can tell 110% that it was scripted and not a real stutter. Maybe that's just a bad job by the VA in this specific instance though.

We have well and city water at our disposal with tons of filters for both to make the safe and have no taste. So as a Water bottle buyer in a place in Germany, where tap water is drinkable. I don't get a cooler to run 500 times to with a cup, I like having a 1,5l bottle, I can fit in my hand, and just drink, also, I like somtimes have carbonated water, and I'm not getting a carbonizer for that. Some water also does taste better in the bottles and they are like 30cts here. So, I don't know, I guess, I like the convenience. Also the plastic is recycled here, that's nice. I know a lot of people who swear on glass bottles, they are a bit more expensive but also re-used and don't come with (percieved) micro-plastics attached. I don't know. Hunt me for my recless spending of 30cts I guess.

I actually cannot drink water straight from the tap without gagging. Growing up, my house had old pipes so we could not drink the water due to lead. We eventually got a filter, but it kept breaking down. We mostly drank bottled water for this reason. Nowadays we can use a Brita, but I still cannot drink water from the tap directly. It needs to be from the tap directly but I don't see it, or put into a pitcher before being put into a cup, or put into a non-transparent water bottle. It sucks man
