The point of a Godparent is that you will help the parents to raise the children in a faithful way…so you’ll be there for advice, you be there on all the big holy days in that child’s like like holy communion/confirmation/wedding etc, you’ll be there to help morally guide this child through their life 😇🙏🏼🤍

Got asked to be Godfather for my friend's daughter. So proud and honored. I'm his mate but always hung out as with them both as a couple and had a great time. Then they split up. Not sure I'm much of a Godfather now. Does the role get abandoned if the marriage doesn't make it?

love the 1 liners Pete. i get the 2.30am one as well. mine was slightly different. my best mates girlfriend set me up to meet her friend in a nightclub at 10pm. the issues was me and my best mate went on an all dayer, done all our cash so he asked his girlfriend if she could ask her mate to lend me £80 otherwise i couldnt go. i was so lucky as she said yes. we met up.. and now we have been together for 21years and have a fantastic16 yr old daughter. how lucky am i she said yes to lending me the cash that night !!!!

You should name who you want to look after your children in your will, so that in the event that you both die and your children are under 18 your wishes are honoured. Obviously discuss with the people you are dumping your children on first!
