Um yeah, no. There is no instance in which a species would voluntarily give a probable enemy important information on their weapons, technology, or defensive systems. They might reveal they have a fleet but even total number of ships would be concealed.

You really under stated how bad the disclosures are. It should have been aliens bragging to humans. Cultural difference in military doctrine. I had to stop listening.
