Not to nitpick, but there seems to be a slight discontinuity at 13:00. Carter is one second standing there having a discussion about the councils past wrong doings and then they are being attacked. Then they escape to Earth (why Earth and not one of their home planets?) where they meet Carter again and have another discussion about past wrong doings.

Well, first of all, Carter presumably left in a FTL capable ship in full working order, while the council left in escape pods, presumably less capable of speed, although they're apparently also FTL capable, unless the station was moved close to or over Earth. Secondly the attack was done by a enemy apparently capable of sneaking in and launching a surprise attack without being detected by council sensors. While Earth had shown a eerie capability of detecting the most stealthy of the council ships. This enemy was likely to be capable of defeating the council in a short amount of time, getting help that might not be as easily ambushed and surprised would be valuable. It's a plausible desperate tactic even if a bit unlikely.

They should be afraid of humans, specially if they know the horrors we do to each other then they can imagine what we might do to species that are not our own. I mean everything that the councel was accused of was something humans have accused of doing to their own.

Using voice typing so please forgive run on sentence. I don't know if anybody else had this issue. But approximately halfway through the texts on the screen were going by really fast and were about 4 to 5 lines ahead of where the sound was.

How can they put a belligerent general in command to the meeting party that can mean a space war if he makes a wrong move? Always, a government would put a diplomat who'll know how to treat first contact aliens and would really be painstakingly trying to be diplomatic as one wrong move could mean war. The general doesn't even know a thing about the alien and he doesn't care if there will be war? A war with a civilization that could travel between stars? A war with a civilization that is light years ahead in technology? This is pedestrian writing, I stopped listening when the general said he didn't care when the alien said he comes in peace.

I love HFY stories but this one....this one was fucking terrible. 3 minutes and 47 seconds in and its just not even a good story. You mean to tell me an intergalactic society would just let their ambassidorial team to be taken prisoner and questioned? Like...c'mon. Just a terrible story. Usually love these, not this one.

😂😅😮!!! This narrated story is literally one of the very worst story lines that I have ever encountered in this genre! It is PATHETIC. What kind/type of large language model a.i. bot was utilized to generate this trype? I believe that the central prossessor hardware that house's this program has been seriously over exposed to cosmic rays and x rays and has suffered some major deletorious damage. Is there not even ONE non damaged sane human being who is an English language as first language speaker/user involved in this process to review the end product/story before it is published? If this is an actual real example of your finished product work, then do the world a favor and STOP!!!
