This type of video, is just something magical. Sims dont do it justice, I can't begin to understand the fear factor coming into this track. Also the sheer beauty of this place, the stories it must have. Truly the mecca for any automotive enthusiast. Thank you Mischa. I keep thinking what else will he do now, hasn't he done it already. Then after a video like this, I realize there's a literal lifetime of content you can make. Salut comrade, keep well.

Hello Misha, I play Assetto Corsa since 2013 and most of the time I drive on Nordschleife, so I got over two thousands laps on it and the things you are saying about this track are amazing! Those parts of the track are (and "feels") exactly how you describe them. Really nice content. Thank you for your knowledge and time you giving to these videos! Have a nice day :)

same here, and the first time i've done it for real, it's scared the shit out of me. Metzgerfeld and Kallenhard, where my nightmare. but with practice, it's all good. Now it's more Plantzgarten 2 that scare me.

I love this section of the track, we are always camping in Metzgesfeld since 2014 for the 24h race. What makes Kallenhardt even more tricky is in the wet. You REALLY have to do a wet line there, there is almost no grip on the inside in rainy conditions (probably because of even more rubber there because of understeering front wheels in the banked turn). Every time in wet conditions there are code browns to be seen in this corner.

Spun in Kallenhard on my very first lap in the wet in November 2008. Was tip-toeing around very gently. When I applied the throttle gently the back went immediately. No issues, but I was even more careful after. After doing a RSR training a few years later, I got to grips with the track a lot better.

The lack of barriers certainly didn't help, but prior to 1973 the approach to Kallenhard was faster because Metzgesfeld was just a left that went straight down to Kallenhard without the left-right jink. I do love your videos, so keep them coming!

Misha your content Is pure gold! I understand if understeer on kallenhard Is too dangerous, i seen the risk outside the curve, the game doesn't show that, I'm talking about the project cars. You are great teaching about the Nordschleife circuit. Best regards! And God bless You!

Oh man, this section especially felt tricky when I last drove Nürburgring-Nordschleife on Project Cars. But I still love the flow of this track, very satisfying to get a clean lap even if it's not the fastest. I hope one day to get an opportunity to visit Germany and go around the circuit at least as a passenger and maybe then as a driver with some not-too-expensive car...

6:09 yes very true. This corner is sometimes challenging to do. I sometimes brake to late and go to wide. Or hitting that red bump would unsettle the car. Mostly I struggle with rwd. But awd can be controlled easier if you f up.

Something to keep in mind is that when lots of people were having bad accidents at Kallenhard, the left/right after Metzgesfeld didn't exist, so guys were exiting Metzgesfeld flat out, going down the hill, and entering Kallenhard with a ton of speed.

Thanks, man ! Very engaging and informative as usual. You reference rear wheel drive cars at one point and it made me wonder what my 2004 Volvo V70 T5 could achieve as a front wheeler ? I'd send it to you for your perusal but the cost of shipping from Toronto would be about 10 times the value of the car. That said, I have a top mechanic who services the vehicle which I can no longer drive due to loss of eyesight. So my famous little old lady from Nashville, Claire Lynch (Google her and Dolly Parton) does the driving and constantly grumbles about the stick shift. Women.. ! MEN !! Sheesh. Rock on with your bad self. Oh, I also really dig the drone footage. Sweet !!

In the onboard Videos it is really difficult to guess all the up and downs and how long and how tight the turns are. In these track walk Videos, additional with the drone, you get a better idea for what's going on here.

11:24 I have been playing on multiple Racing video games and its true. This corner looks *Very innocent* i often crashed or widen kn that corner because from far away this corner looks like like a easy medium right corner but when you realised is actualy a sharp right corner its already too late for Braking. And you will wide and hit the iron wall near the outside apex.

Yeah that corner of death is also a bitch because it's blind. I came around there once and on the exit of the corner was a Twingo facing the wrong way half on the grass and half in the road with a bunch of guys just jumping out of it. Thankfully my car was nowhere near the limit at the time so some extra right lock helped us avoid but could easily have been way worse!

I’ve spent over 13,000 hours on the Nurburgring but I’ve never been to Germany. Gran turismo and assetto corsa. If I do ever go to the ring I’m renting the slowest car and driving slowly for the first couple laps. I know enough about that track after that much time on it to know not to pretend it’s easy. I know I don’t know the little nuances from a simulator. How people can go there with no experience at all and push hard I’ll never know lol. It’s too dangerous to not take seriously.
