@tracyherwig83347 жыл бұрын
NaturallyNellzy I agree! And can I just say, it is just me--she does not look like she was born in '78! My niece was born with a small one of those birthmarks, about the size of a strawberry on her temple. I don't know if it's the exact same type but we were told if it got damaged or punctured in some way she could've bled out. My sister got her treatment as soon as she could and now you can't even tell it was there. But you know what? Even if it had not gone away she'd be just as beautiful, loving and humble as this lady is with hers.❤️

Sucks that deformations causes you to be shy, quiet so your character gets damaged in the process. Think being outgoing helps put people at ease. The part that sucks the most is that most people stare for huge periods of time. That messes with your self esteem no matter how many times someone tells you to just be positive. Things like this is the ultimate test of mental strength.
@purplebird4817 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean. It says more about them and their manners than you quite frankly. And it's not just about positivity. It's reminding yourself you're not any less important then the next person. It's reminding yourself - and them - they have no business staring and making it obvious. About the outgoing part: Honestly, unless it's a part of your actual personality, don't bother. Be quiet if that is you're preference. You're not there to put others at ease.

I knew it was a birth mark right away. I'm glad she has a friend. I was bullied in school until graduation for being quiet. I had selective mutism because I was being abused at home. It doesn't matter what kind of thing it is; If a child is different, they will be bullied. I wish people would raise their kids better than that. Sometimes kids grow out of being bullies, but not always.

I have a birthmark called a "Nevus of Ota" that COVERS THE ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE OF MY FACE ... even my right EYEBALL IS ALL PURPLE 😱 ... it's not raised or "disfiguring" in any way ... but it does look like a bad bruise ... and I OFTEN have people staring at me when they're talking to me ... I call it "talking to my Nevus" bcuz they're clearly NOT talking "to me" ... I can actually see them thinking "Ooooooooo what's on her face...???" ... and I was SO HAPPY when I finally got big boobs and could wear low-cut or tight tops - bcuz then - at least the men - started talking to my boobs and not my Nevus 😱😂😂 ... I even had a woman come up to me and with COMPLETE DISGUST say "OOOOO WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE...?!?" 😱😵😱 So I KNOW how cruel people can be when you have something like that on your face ... and mine ISN'T NEARLY AS BAD AS HERS IS...!!! Sometimes I have fun with people when they ask me "what happened to your face" ... I'll tell them my Cats beat me up 😂 or if I'm out with a friend I'll point at my friend and say "I didn't listen - so they beat me up" 😂 and if they specifically ask "what's wrong with your eye...?" then I tell them that I wore Mascara in the rain and it ran and stained my eyeball...!!! 😂😂😂 So mostly I deflect their reactions with witty humour and I save the "serious sass" for the rude people ... I COMPLETELY RELATE TO HER and her experiences with people ... I hope that one day people will stop being ignorant towards anyone that's "different" from them ... and JUST LIKE HER ... I MUCH PREFER people just coming out and POLITELY ASKING ME about it instead of "staring" at it and "talking to it" instead of TALKING TO ME 👍😁💋💕

Such a tough thing to deal with. This woman is truly strong and it doesn't matter how she looks in her case. As long as she is healthy now or healthier, everything's perfect the way it is. Not everybody has the privilege to look like a model or be without illnesses. Looks are important but it's not the essence of this world, really. I'm pretty sure if people got to know her and listen to her story they would be less judgemental. On the other hand, it's understandable that they are afraid of 'strange' things. These videos are great because they show transparency and prepare us mentally how to deal with such happenings in the world. Great woman!

I do know that. I come from one such black majority country, Brazil. I just find it curious.

My mom also has a port-wine stain on the entire right side of her face. Her own grandparents rejected her cause they thought the birthmark was the mark of the devil. The whole time she was in school she got bullied for it so in 6th grade she started wearing makeup to cover it up. She is such a strong woman now and doesn't cover it up now. But every time she goes out of the house children and even grown adults stare at her and yell things at her. I wish people would just grow up.
