A couple of years ago I just returned from work, another eveningshift done. To relax I did a bit of surfing on the channel looking for some nice music..........and bumped right into this fantastic live performance. "Who is Gonna be the One?....Jinjer!.....okay, never heard of the band, never seen them before, so lets give it a try"......I was hooked. Such a Gem: Jinjer!

Fun fact: Tatiana did several of her own tattoos herself, and I believe a few of the band members' tats as well. Apparently, her parents bought her a tattoo machine for her birthday as a teen, and that was her career aspiration back then. Her mom even let her practice on her back! That's love, right there!

Welcome to Reggae-Tati (the short part in the end) ... guess next you have to do Judgement&Punishment (one take!) to get more of this. Or IspeakAstronomy (my favorite before I heard Vortex)... or BadWater (their only song without growls?). Oh they have so much more to offer and you to hear... I'm a bit jealous. ;-) Discovered your channel recently and like your style... makes me feel like when I discovered that kind of music 1st time (thanks for that).

@@sevsimo Actually it's hard for me to recommend something else to you, since 90% of what I listen to these days you already reacted to... 😉 Maybe, since you now also discovered Smphonic Metal with Nightwish & Epica, you also should give newcomers Ad Infinitum (Afterlife, Animals,...) a try with the already famous (due to her immense number of collabs... check Warkings or Feuerschwanz) Melissa Bonny... there are even connections to Arch Enemy's singer Alissa, since both did collabs with Kamelot (ok, that's another recommendation... you have to check those out definitely... search for Liar, Liar & Sacrimony). In the latter there's featured also Amaranthe's (another recommendation!) singer Elize Ryd, whose manager is also the former Arch Enemy singer Angela Gossow (check out 16year old 'Nemesis' with her, or Amaranthes DoOrDie, where she appears as guest singer). BTW, that's a big family... Melissa has another project with her partner and Amaranthe drummer called DarkSideOfTheMoon (recommendation!), Epicas singer Simone is partnered with Kamelot keyboarder, Nightwishs Floor is married with the Sabaton (recomendation!) drummer... 😉

This is one of my favorite songs and performances from Jinjer because of the killer groove and Tatiana's fantastic vocals and enthusiasm (plus she looks bad a$$ and hot! 😁). I love watching your Jinjer reaction videos because of how much you get into the music, which is similar to me when I watch Jinjer! On a completely different topic...since you're from Australia, have you ever seen any of the live performance videos from the Australian cover band Hindley Street Country Club (HSCC)? They cover mostly "pop" oriented songs from classic rock to top 40 stuff, but they're fantastic musicians and they have a bunch of incredible vocalists.

This song is from their Cloud Factory album when they had two guitarists and played in drop C. You'll notice, Roman is playing the same ESP he had in the Pisces video. They combined the guitar parts and changed it to drop A to play with newer songs with that lower tuning without changing instruments. When I saw them in 2019 (way after this performance), they did a full set as a headliner with an instrument change mid set between for the older drop C and newer drop A songs.
@tomislavkosanovic1104 Жыл бұрын
Fun reaction as always. Hey and good call on Roman, he's just killing it here and obviously having a blast. I didn't really like this one at first, it was too repetitive and it still is, but other than that it's all Jinjer magic, it just grows on you. The sound was exceptionally good here, love me those amp squeals now and then, and they killed it overall. I repeat "Outlander" failure color version and "I speak astronomy" OMV.

So I discovered your channel today when I saw that you reacted to Pisces and I've now binge watched all of your Jinjer reactions. This is my first comment on any of your videos, I really love this band and I'm really excited that you like them so much. You can just tell by your reactions that you really appreciate them. They are the type of band that as you are getting to know them, as much as you love the last song you heard, every new song has so much going on that is amazing that it becomes your new favorite song. So I wanted to share with you a few things about Tatiana and Vlad that you might not know. If you have heard these things, I apologize, I know there are a lot of knowledgeable fans that have possibly already shared this information with you but I wanted to share with you anyway just in case because these are cool things to know. Tatiana is self taught and she's never taken any vocal lessons. And Vlad is a classical pianist and he took up drums as a hobby, lol! I think these facts just show how talented these people are, they are just amazing. You're right that their older stuff is a little less structured than the newer stuff but it's all great in my opinion. I like to describe them as organized chaos. I'd like to see you react to Tatianas one take vocal of Judgement and Punishment, it's really ridiculous and it shows once again how amazing she is. Plus that song will throw you another twist that you haven't heard from them, it has a Reggae vibe to it. To mix their style with screams and Raggae is really impressive. Anyway, thanks for the reactions, I'm glad I found your channel...

to each, their own, and your opinion is your opinion, not right or wrong. BUT(smirking), Sit Stay Rollover was a better song, even if I agree that instrumentally this track was more melodic. The lyrics on this track lacked a lot more compared to Sit Stay Rollover. I would also say the energy they put out wasn't just less than Sit Stay Rollover, for that, is going to be the case in a slower-tempo song, but it also was more diluted than Sit Stay Rollover, the Jazz piece at the end of being a great change up, but also a dilution from the energy they were creating the entire song. I am not saying this song is bad, but it isn't in my top 20, and it is mostly viewed to witness Tati hitting those lows live by the doubters and reactors (IMHO). As more people started listening to the Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev video, fewer were using this for that general purpose, although it is still suggested by some to reactors.
