It's always a tough decision at the end of every competition. It's important to remember the winner is chosen based on their performances across the entire Awards, not just one set. But even without winning, Kenny and the other 2019 laureates got to perform for livesteam and in-person audiences at some gorgeous venues; performed solos, trios, with a vocalist, and a jazz ensemble; and of course, received a $20,000 cash prize for being a finalist. Make no mistake, Kenny's talent was and continues to be well appreciated.

Wow I’m so glad I came across this piece. That piano comes out alive and the rest of the accompaniment not overpowering the piano, but instead it’s just in sync, beautiful to hear.
