I mean, a lot of people are shitting on this, but what did they expect? It's a game that challenges you to beat it in under 2 hours, were they expecting some masterpiece 10/10 game? Because I was expecting some rage game designed to waste as much time as possible, and that's exactly what it was.

Just because something is shit on purpose doesn't mean you can't judge it. TBH steam should put an adaptive system in place. IE the refund is adaptive to the average it takes for the game to finish normally (starting at 2 hours and goes up or down depending) if the game is 10+ hours it should not allow a refund after the 2. IE 20% of play time. If the game takes an hour. it should give the player like half an hour to refund the game instead of 2. There are alot of games that can be finished before 2 hours. and its just not fair to the devs
@mrcheesemunch2 жыл бұрын
Yeah 2 hours is kind of BS, some games have tutorials longer than that. It's almost never long enough to really figure it out. I don't have a lot of money for games so I often find myself panic refunding if I'm just not quite sure the game is for me. Maybe some kind of a tiered system where if you play it for X amount of time you get 75% of your money back, then 50%, then 25% then nothing.
@ligokleftis2 жыл бұрын
i’m pretty sure if a game gets refunded, the devs don’t lose that money. i’d bet that steam eats that loss since it’s written into their terms and not the game’s.
@Shanespeed20002 жыл бұрын
@@ligokleftis The devs lose that money. Steam holds your earnings and it's up to the developers to choose "pay me" and then Steam will pay you your earnings (minimum of $100 if I recall correctly). So if a player refunds a game it gets subtracted from your earnings, and thus your eventual pay

I dont think you know how VPN's work. lets say i want to play on a game server thats based in the US from here in the UK my ping is 120ms when connecting to the US based server. i then proceed to connect to a vpn server based in the US as close to the US game server as possible. The game reports a ping of 15ms (and this is what you will see) But my actual ping is 135ms Hang on, going via a vpn has made the connection worse, how come? Well... Yes your ping between the vpn server and game server is 15ms, however YOU still have to connect to a server in the US, you would be connecting at roughly the same ping as if you connected directly BUT now you have to factor in the ping from the VPN to the game server. So... You to VPN = 120ms VPN to Game Server = 15ms Total Ping = 135ms
