Welcome back to Scrap Mechanic! Today I am back in challenge mode checking out a crazy Robot Battle Arena challenge. The goal is to survive the waves of enemies spawned in the arena, but you also get to earn currency each round and choose which items to spend the currency on. It could be gun upgrades, ammo, or other items to aid in battle!

Looks like the counters for level and kills were in hexadecimal, so level E for example is level 14 and 3C0 kills (what it showed at the end) is actually 960

by the way, todebots take 2 explosives to kill, that's why the exlosives are unpredictable (haybots still die to 1 explosive)

The displays aren't bugged out, they use hexadecimal, meaning each digit has a value of 0 to F instead of 0 to 9. so it counts like this: ..., 8, 9, A, b, C, d, E, F, 10, 11, ..., 9E, 9F, A0, A1 and so on. The b and d are lowercase in this case because that way it's easier to show with a simple display like a seven segment display. so where in decimal (the number system you'd normally use) each digit is a power of ten e.g. 1, 10, 100 etc. in hexadecimal it's powers of 16 e.g. 1, 16, 256, 4096 etc. for example the number 100 would be 64 in hexadecimal (6*16 + 4*1). If you didn't get that, I'm sure there are plenty of better and easier to understand explanations online.

Hexadecimal is in power of 16 not 15; it's just that as it begins with 0 and not 1 for the first value you have to substract one : juste like in decimal each digit goes from 0 to 9 (and not 10) in hexadecimal it goes from 0 to 15 or F (and not 16). So 100 is 64 (6*16 + 4*1) in hexadecimal. But just as you said, there are way better explanations that can be found online, especially as my english is bad ^^

Just my thought but I think the bots on the wall are allies you can drop in.... possibly through shooting them during the match. interested to see what the cow and wall upgrades are useful for. This would be so much cooler if it was infinite and not so easily beatable! Maybe with a high score leaderboard or something.

I think they have a headshot gimmick in the because I saw one of the totebots takes two shots from the spud shotgun and he was aimed at it's legs. I also saw one of the haybots take two shots from the spud shotgun too when aimed at the body while on level 8 12:34 that's the level I saw the headshot gimmick in, but it could be a crit gimmick looking further into the video.

At 11.55, the ammo light was still green; I think he had another/more ammo supply in there. I think the number of ammo crates scales with the levels; there's a limit to what fits in one, after all. Several other instances of only taking one ammo crate & still having a green light..

From the particles you can tell it's modded, it probably also has a general bot detector that knows if any bots exist and that's how it knows when you have killed them all.

if you were confused about the amount of hits it takes to kill an enemy, headshots do more damage. idk how much more but ive noticed playing survival shooting a tape bot in the body takes 2 hits while a headshot takes 1.

The reason the amount of shots varied is because the spud shotgun fires a spread of fries and depending on how many fries hit the enemy that’s how much damage it does

imo, simple logic would dictate that explosion was not a one time purchase, and what's the point of buying something to keep you from dying, if you refuse to use it to keep yourself from dying? it's just a video game, you don't need to conserve resources so hard, you're never going to have a concrete strategy if you leave your items in a mystery zone where you have no idea how they work.

I'll keep watching because this is still very entertaining and I'll always watch one of your videos, but it's definitely a bit painful watching you not realize the displays are in hex and that you had ammo to get after you died. To be clear I'm not blaming you - I have no clue if you have ever interacted with hex, and I can see how you got confused with the ammo - it's just difficult to watch when you do know those things.
