The lame part is requiring characters and skins you might not have to get certain stars - or worse, to even be able to play some nodes - but other than that, it doesn't feel like much of a grind. I say that as someone who absolutely hates grinding, in any game. You only get gem levels for the first time you complete a node or get a star, so honestly... they don't even allow what I'd call traditional grinding. The hardest difficulty isn't even playable yet, so I can't really comment on that... It sounds tough, but since they said there will be even more rifts coming this season, I'm hoping Agent Smith will be acquirable without having to worry too much about it. Hopium.

It's kind of insane that they didn't think being unable to try characters before buying them would be a problem. As for the drop in the player count, I'm not worried yet. Many players are just waiting for the game to get more stable and for ranked mode to be added. It's not bad launches that kills games, it's the lack of updates afterwards.

My BIGGEST complaint is how expensive cosmetics are the reason games like fortnite can price their skins at 20 dollars is because you can use that skin no matter what you're doing if you're in battle royal you can use it if you're in save the world you can use it if you're in creative you can still use it but paying 20 dollars for a Harley skin and wanting to use Morty makes my 20 dollars not worth spending.

Fortnite is a game developed by Epic Games, Published by Epic Games while also being run on Unreal Engine, which is developed and owned by Epic Games. MVS is a game developed by Player First Games and is published by Warner Bros(one of the most greediest and tone deaf companies known to man). With Fortnite being on epic games own platform, manufactured on Unreal Engine they get a lot more breathing room for stuff. Also Fortnite has been hella expanded on since it released in 2017 and with it being a worldwide phenomenon has had the opportunity to adjust their game modes, skins prices etc to sacrifice more monetary gain to increase exposure. Which is an insanely smart move taking advantage of their unique situation of being created, developed and published all by the same company. Until WB recognizes this. MultiVersus will unfortunately be stuck in this higher price threshold. Player First Games unfortunately cannot do much on that front yet. The most they can do is relay the community outcries to WB. Not just PFG but many games in a post Fortnite world have been struggling to reach that level of success due to so many metrics being in Fortnites favor.

I’m just confused why certain characters don’t have cooldowns. In the beta Jake eating some one had a cooldown but now it doesn’t. It the same thing with Wonder Woman and her lasso. I’m not sure about other characters but it needs to be changed.

Lots of characters got less cooldowns (like Black Adam). It makes them less restrictive but also a little unbalanced if the abilities (now with no cooldowns) are strong.

Another reason along with the reply above was also cause they wanted to remove a lot of UI clutter. So removing most cooldowns (so they don't appear all at once on screen) would help with seeing the screen better along the fight.

Honestly, it still feels like it is in beta, cause its worst than the actual beta.. Super disappointed. Really does beg the question was the engine change necessary if we're setback further than beta? Visuals doesnt matter cause the aesthetic is so stylized graphics didnt really matter it looks great in UE4. Infact we have visual issue we didnt have prior.. also performance is objectively worst sluggish gameplay which the dodge meter could have been implemented, blending both aspects of the game, sure slow it down a bit thats fine. Netcode? Engine does not need changing to adapt that as an example GGST (My main FG) is on UE4 with incredible netcode. They made very little progress mainly due to the UE4 to UE5 swap. We honestly would have had a better game in terms of balance and content. Again very disappointing.

something i’ve noticed is that i went to get the ERROR.MVS banner from the Agent Smith event cause i was able to get it after the new rifts thing with Jason came out yesterday but when i went ti equip it it wasn’t there, and a similar thing happened with some fighter currency i was supposed to get from my account leveling up, but i didn’t get it, AND when you level up a character it shows that you get an xp boost thing but it appears to not be usable, so idk what’s going on if it’s a glitch or i’m just an idiot, but if it’s a glitch i hope they patch it soon edit: just logged in and was able to equip the banner, but everything else is still the same

For me imo they have to implement xp for the battlepass per match. This is the sole reason why I'm debating on dropping this game everyday. I feel like the battlepass grind is a job instead of a thing that happens while I practice a character by play matches. Ranked is also coming out soon which is another reason why I don't wanna play since its not out on release. Fighter currency matters too but I own almost every character so its not at the top of my list. TLDR bring in battlepass xp for playing the fuckn game or ill quit

I think a lot of people harping about the SteamCharts numbers are also forgetting that it's only been a week since the game returned and we haven't even had a first wave of major new content yet, aside from the new Jason rift, but that's nowhere near as exciting as ranked or a new character obviously. We're nowhere near the same situation as we got toward the end of the beta, and I swear sometimes it feels like they're trying to make a self-fulfilling prophecy. With that said I do hope all the changes and fixes they're touched on will come sooner rather than later, all good for the long term health of the game. Just gotta wait and see what happens, all we can really do.

The player rate dropping comes from all these issues, unlocking characters being a huge grind, a lack of new cosmetics that are worth buying, server desync and so much more. People just need to chill a bit, the games fun enough and their working on issues when they can. The rifts were fun enough with what ive played, and seem geared toward bringing a friend which encourages a more casual have fun kinda mentality. But the old attack decay made it so that you'd get punished and the opponent doesn't have as much hit stun and can recover faster than you. Whereas now it's less knockback and less damage like how smash does it. Before you'd get punished for reading your opponent and them making the mistake of not dodging the 4th up air in a row. Now in regards to a Harley, bugs or joker vertical situation they definitely still need to tweak those hitboxes. I don't think attack decay in beta is the answer.

My main issue Im currently having is that 2v2 on ps4 I’ll always get disconnected before a match without fail no matter what, solo queue playing with friends, cross play, im always disconnected

Completely agree for these opening weeks. It’s possible. I’ve been playing The Finals and their weekly communication with community with an update has been a god send. It does not have the biggest player base but that game has done live service right.

I love multiversus... i had to spend 10$ for a toon bugs and 4.5k which help me to purchase joker. However its too expensive at this rate i feel like all players will be out before it can peak ever again it a shame love this game. Still waiting for ranked mode

Iron Giant just shouldn't be in this game.. It just doesn't work. He'll either be a punching bag if nerfed to hard or a broken if buffed to much. He's too big It doesn't work and hasn't worked in any other game

I know that publishers and IP holders dictate a lot of things when it comes to time so they probably could not extend the down time to a later release but i gotta say that this release was pretty underwhelming and the gameplay speed is a pretty small issue compared to the other issues like lack of spectator, bugs, etc.

@BltzZ Any chance you could make a video going over how all the season pass stuff, currencies, rifts, badge earning, badge selection, character earning, Event rift unlock schedule, works. I was good to go in Beta but my boomer brain is having difficulty understanding all the menus and Event Rifts. Like, i get what its telling me but also still confused. Maybe its just me, but, its all sorta confusing

Yeah I got you. It's kinda lame how it works now tho. BP is specifically from challenges, daily or weekly. And they don't seem to have seasonal challenges which helped big time. I'm gonna cook something up. But I heard they are reworking some things so maybe it works out differently

But in your last video you mentioned sending a support ticket, And I was gonna ask you how to do that. I could have just probably looked it up on the internet, but this was more interactive. And it also helps alert the community, as I have found another player that came across the same thing and it took me a while to notice cause it worked correctly at first but my power pledge inst going up any regardless of leveling up characters.
