'They crushed them!' | Surveillance video shows a city garbage truck destroying community trash cans

Who would steal a pair of Baltimore City’s metal waste bins? It was a mystery to Morrell Park residents, who say they’ve been struggling to keep their neighborhood clean since they’ve been gone. That was until a home surveillance video showed a city garbage truck collecting the cans instead of the trash.
“I was wondering where they went,” said Morrell Park resident Anthony Mills.

I was sitting at a light downtown in my Truck, and I watched a grandmother toss trash out her car window. It was a bag of food they were eating. She did this insight of three children. I felt bad for those children. I and my friends could never think about doing that insight, of any of our parents. They would call us a dirt ball and make you pick that shit up.

That’s not true AT ALL! I live on this block and we always clean up after other people. We got to the point that we empty the street trash and put it out on trash night because DPW STILL doesn’t do the job.

@@icdalootI am the only person who thanks my trash men we give them fresh fruit and ice cold waters every week, my trash men will not pick up the bag trash that the community walks around and cleans up, it is bagged up neat in a pile it is set on the alley corner of the park but the trash men refuse because it’s not in a trash can. So the it draws rats and I for one do not want rats because I do have children and pets so I have to go out and bleach my back yard everyday, my water bill is higher then my BGE bill and that’s says a lot. NO REASON for them not to pick it up. By the way way trash men are AWESOME TO ME. they never have to worry about rats popping outta my trash can.

Baltimore was one of the strongest city's in United States in the 1800s-to 1960s...After Mlk Riot,Vice president of United States Spiro T Agnew threw his hands up at Baltimore...I think that's where Bmore's downfall started,then came an inpour of Smack and Crack....now look at Baltimore 60 years later

Do you need to put holes in the bottle real little hole or takes a couple little holes in the bottom I drill holes in mine because sometimes when your crash is up higher and when it rains, it fills that trashcan up with water and it’s so heavy trash man don’t wanna take it so it’s up there and probably more trash than ever. I’ll see it every week or to put stickers on it and sticker stays on there and trash constantly stay there for monthsand rats constantly eat, eat the trashcan lids off some of them to get to the trash or other places they will always find a way to eat the plastic and make a hole at the top bottom it’s always the top
