The godfathers of Japanese rock music. Ningen Isu were invited to play at Ozfest a while ago and got to meet Ozzy who was very impressed with their music.

Hard 'g' in Ningen, like in "get" - and the second way you said "isu" (iss oo, not ice oo) As for the names, the guitarist is Shinji Wajima (shin jee, wah jee mah). The bassist is Kenichi Suzuki (ken itchy, suzuki like the motorbikes). The drummer is Nobu Nakajima (no boo, nacker jee mah) All of their albums are total fire, they never had a drop in quality.. and they have about 23 at this point - hundreds of incredible songs 😂

They have so many good songs, I also like the Tossishun song or something. Many unexpected and really cool beat and rhythm changes. They are a lot like Black Sabbath in a way. 🙂

Wajima and Suzuki have said they based the sound on the Music of Black Sabbath

Thanks for the love shown by wearing Arkansas Razorback t-shirts and baseball caps. "BLEED RAZORBACK RED"🐷🤩🐖. Big fan of Ningen Isu⛩.Life long fan of Judas Priest and Rob Halford's solo projects. One recommendation is his band "Fight". The first album is "War of Words". Great album front to back. It's a little political. My pick for you to listen to for the first time would be their unplugged versions of "Just a little Crazy" and regular version of "Into the Pit" on MTV's Headbangers Ball in the early 90's. What a visual and auditory thrilling experience!!! Your show, pick of great songs and truly over the top, out the door, on the floor giddy reactions to new songs is priceless. Judas Priest's live version of Victim of Changes from the 1983 California Music Festival and any live version of Beyond the Realms of Death show Rob's great range on vocals and showmanship. Last but not least the live version of Dream Deceiver, Deceiver on BBC back in the middle 70's. Long live Rock and Roll/Heavy Metal. One last suggestion would be Tesla " Modern Day Cowboy". Late 80's music that pertains to the world today. 🎙🎧👹👍☠

The Color out of Space is a famous sf/horror story by H.P. Lovecraft. The story has been made into a movie twice (cheapies both times).

Haven't read the story but I thought the Nic Cage movie was pretty good cosmic horror.

unless they are doubled up or have some kind of dash between them all the vowels in japanese are short and the consonants are hard. so this one is probably ni n ge n i su. where the g is hard like in golf and the i is short like in ski. the e is short like in edible. i guess you can consider u to be long because it's always pronounced oo. so like neen gen ee soo

Just going by the sight of them -- three older guys in costumes -- you'd think that this is some kind of joke. Once they start playing though you realize they're in fact one of the greatest metal bands on the planet.

College roommates? They didn't even go to the same university. Shinji Wajima (guitar) and Kenichi Suzuki (bass) met and became friends before high school.

Hey, one good recommendation: An old one from Ningen Isu, in the 80's, search for this: 人間椅子 針の山(イカ天バージョン) Song Name: Hari no Yama (mountain of needles)

This song has a creepy tone and a beautifully heavy riff, what's not to like. Oh BTW Band-Maid dropped a new song and all I can say is OMG you have got to see the Misa solo.
