This was another brilliant ReNtake. Just Ren doing Ren things. Crazy runs and harmonies, filthy bars to remind us that he is also still a cheeky boi, and that voice that’s perfect for Sting/The Police songs. Ren has music in his soul and pours so much soul into everything he does. We’re just lucky to witness it 🐰🕳️ Also unfortunately Ren hasn’t done any full on metal. Yet. He has said on stream that he would like to at least do some nu metal someday. Until then I think the closest we get is maybe Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning.

There's an old MV by a younger Ren when he was still ill fighting his Lyme disease, when the doctors still didn't know it was Lyme, It's called "Crutch". It reminds me of something Sleep Token might perform, style wise. It starts out as a piano ballad but in the last 1/3 of this track Ren starts to shred on the electric and gives some metal level vocals. You guy's should check it out.🔥🤯✌

I enjoyed your reaction to REN’s old school vibes. His homage to Sting/The Police was spot on. There’s nobody doing what REN is creating out there, not even mainstream. I can’t wait for him to do a Jeff Buckley retake. Thanks!

Others may have mentioned... but he has a video called Crutch... with Bibi... it's got a bit of this and that but also rock/metal in there too. It's surprisingly haunting and beautiful and deep.

Haha I noticed the Oregon Trail shirt right away, I recently found an emulator online & would play the OG keyboard-control version of it at work, using my co-workers names as my crew. Every so often I’d announce who had just died from Dysentery 😂😂 & Shout out to Zelda! I might still have my N64 & blow the dust off the Ocarina of Time cartridge every now & again…

The Big Push release from a couple weeks ago "Heart Attack" is a blast of swampy blues-rock that easily could have come from '74. Would make a fine reaction. v=aBJmZ51VgNM

Your new intro was really cool! Great reaction to this song. A song I'll suggest that's Rock with a punk vibe is "What kind of Woman is This" this is a live recording not busking on the streets, with the Big Push. Ren has so many influences in music that it is hard to pick out which one he sounds like. Some of the Rock ones are, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Rage Against the Machine and more.

Last time I stopped by your channel, you were trying to figure out if NF or Ren was a "better rapper". I look at Ren doing songs like this, and just kinda chuckle at the question... there's genuinely not any other current musician I know of (not that I'm an expert) that touches on as many genres as Ren does, especially as well as he does. This track is so much fun! BTW, you mentioned the Rat Pack... Ren does a WICKED impression of Frank Sinatra. 😎 It's sort of boggling tbh.

Pausing on every single transition, major or minor? Really?
@Codex77772 ай бұрын
It wouldn't be so bad if you actually rewound a few seconds after each of those many pauses, so that you didn't miss anything but you either didn't rewind, or rewound half a second. You can do it however you like, of course but you're missing some of the best lines and best transitions by not doing so.
@user-dj3eu2ew4v3 ай бұрын
Guys, there is no need to see if you can break a record for pausing. I am trying to like the channel but literally pausing every 2 lines robs you and your viewers. Seriously. It will have the same impact waiting. Take advantage of the luxury of an independent artist that supports reactors so you don't have to pause for copy write. The creators that pause the least have the largest audiences. that isn't coincidence. this reaction was beyond frustrating because as much as I like you both I had to unsubscribe.
@z-manneversleeps9003 ай бұрын
Or you could just go listen to the song without interruption.

And actually the biggest KZbinr's are ones who break down lyrics or do vocal analysis and they pause very very often. Many of them with well over 1 million subscribers
