Avatar Belial in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is an absolute disaster. I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to release this character in such a broken state, but it’s clear that the balance team needs to take a long, hard look at their decisions. First off, his moveset is a hot mess. The so-called "signature" abilities are a joke, with animations that are clunky and hitboxes that feel like they were designed by someone who has never played a fighting game. The fact that his attacks are as slow as molasses and his combos are practically unusable makes it almost laughable. When you compare him to other characters, it's like he’s from a completely different game. Let’s talk about his damage output. It’s laughable. I’m pretty sure a basic training dummy would deal more damage than this guy. His special moves seem to do nothing but waste time and meter. You’d think with a name like Avatar Belial, he’d have some devastating moves, but all you get is a series of underwhelming attacks that can’t even break through the most basic of defenses. And don’t get me started on his mobility. It’s like he’s glued to the ground. In a game where speed and positioning are everything, Belial’s sluggish movement makes him an easy target. Trying to close the distance against a skilled opponent is a nightmare, and escaping from pressure feels like an impossible feat. Overall, Avatar Belial is a glaring example of what happens when a character is rushed out without proper testing or balancing. If you value your sanity and enjoyment, do yourself a favor and avoid this trainwreck. It’s a shame too, because the potential was there for something really cool. Instead, we’re left with a character that’s a sad reminder of missed opportunities. RIP Avatar Belial.

And this allows him to use them more frequently. But he risks getting blown up the more often he makes use of his ex skills
