An oscillating multi-tool is a great choice of tool when you need to plunge cut into plywood or 2x material, or if you need to make intricate cuts to remove baseboard or trim. This Milwaukee 2836 M18 FUEL Oscillating Multi-tool has impressive performance, and it's near equal in the ergonomics and comfort realm as well. With the floating spindle, the vibrations from the 20,000 OPM don't reverberate nearly as bad as other OMTs we've used. #milwaukeetool #nothingbutheavyduty #review

While the description says "tool only" it does come with one each of a bi-metal kzbin.infoUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI and HCS blade plus an adaptor plate for non-DeWalt blades. Wish I had known that before I bought the blade kit, but oh well. Since I already have a DeWalt drill, charger and batteries there was no need to buy more of those so this was a great deal.There is one other consideration. DeWalt does't sell the depth guide separately so you need to buy the three parts which make it up -- the N275350 block assy, the N275341 metal rod and the N278801 knob. Amazon does sell all three.

I have this unit for 2 years and i use it everyday since ! The cut speed and torque is just unmatch regardless the brand i use it a lot for remodling also! I like my milwaukee tools.

guy i work with bought the m12 version, off the truck about $270. i'm cheap and got the harbor freight warrior with another battery for about $45. the milwaukee felt way to bulky, almost needed 2 hands to use it. for what we are using them for, cheap was the way to go.

I have had several plug in feins, 18v Ryobi and the newer Ryobi HP, and the newest DeWalt. The M18 fuel blows them ALL away. It's not even in the same category. Pair it with Diablo carbide blades and you can cut things that you would need a cut off wheel for!

here is the issue i found, it for sure cuts best, but that is because it uses a wider angle, which slightly defeats the purpose of the multi tool... i need it to have as narrow a sawing path as possible if you are cutting a molding that is touching the floor it is far more difficult not to nick up the floor with the milwaukee as compared to almost all the other multi tools that operate at like a quarter narrower width.... they are also more difficult to cut a straight line with... which i suppose could be offset with superior handling skills... what i'm saying is there is a trade off... most powerful cutter but they cheat slightly to get there and accuracy is sacrificed

Great demo. Been looking at this for a while. Looks like it'll be great for cutting floors for hvac vents. Thanks.

I've been using mine for a week now after switching from ryobi and holy cow this thing is absolute beast. I mainly use it to cut shims on doors but it cuts like butter compared to the ryobi.

I have the m12 fuel myself, and it’s better than any 18/20 volt multitool I’ve used, and that includes the Dewalt XR. It’s hard to imagine one being better than that one, but I don’t see Milwaukee making a more expensive one with less performance lol.

I had the DeWalt for years, it doesn't have much oscillation, it takes forever to cut through anything... The only thing it's good for is the blade change

I have both the M12 Fuel and the M18 Fuel and while the M12 is nice, the M18 and it's auto mode make it the best I have ever used as a remodeler.

Love my m12 fuel version, it definitely prefers the 4ah and 6ah batteries. But compared to the Ryobi, Kobalt, and Dewalt ones I’ve had in the past it’s a HUGE improvement. My only complaint is the battery indicator eventually gets dust behind it and you can’t see the battery level. I ended up removing that tiny plastic cover over the LEDs.

Why Milwaukee have different model names in the UK compared to the US when it's the same tools, it makes searching and watching reviews much harder.

Question for the pros here. Not sure if this was covered but I have little room to come straight on to an existing board to make the cut. Can the blade be turned at an angle so that it is perpendicular or like 90 degrees of the tool body? This would have the tool body parallel with the board I’m cutting.

Why does the screw on mine not hold the blade. It always backs itself out
@michaelwilliams5506
@michaelwilliams5506 10 ай бұрын
Are you tightening it down the that lever up and then closing it? It shouldn't be able to back out since that lever causes it to have plenty of pressure to hold it in place

Maybe I need this instead of circular saw? I always have to wait for a board to get ripped. His circular saw is to heavy to big. It's a corded version. I wanted a smaller circular saw (wood crafts not building a house with it lol) I may been to peak... my issue is home depot has the m12 stuff up so high I can't hold it or see it.... frustrating.... women love tools too.

It's the power and oscillating range of this one. I've used the m12 and I've had the standard m18 for several years. I just got this m18 fuel version, and the speed with which it cuts is incredibly fast. OMG
