17:25 the z-fighters and many of the humans basically became energy vampires. They gained incredible strength speed and endurance and bit you to drain your energy and when they bit you, like a vampire, you became one of them… piccolo somehow managed to resist becoming one of them when he was attacked by roshi and yamcha (he could have stopped them but he would have had to kill them so he didn’t) and used the opportunity to deceive garlic jr. so he could get close enough to steal the black water from him that was causing the transformation. Episode was actually pretty dark from what I recall… I saw it by chance as a kid

It’s amazing how much more your combo does once you launch Frieza up into the air compared to the based combo starter. 3:12 - Evidently, you both decided upon a timeout to charge up your energy. 6:09 - Wow, Frieza out here with an awesome combo. Hilarious that your glorious Super Sayain moment is when Frieza starts to actually be a challenge. 7:28 - Lovely editing here; that got a good chuckle out of me. I thought you were playing with a controller; how do you keep doing the wrong input? With the Wii Remote I could understand, but is the regular controller’s commands for the two Support Techniques that similar? 10:40 - Full Power Frieza has an obsession with Death Saucer. Match begins? Death Saucer! Just locked on? Death Saucer! 11:44 - The peppering of Ki shots followed by the physical punches was a pretty nifty way to interrupt and combo. 13:35 - You should have expected this; you had a tease of Garlic Jr earlier on this playthrough with that random fight. I rather like the Garlic Jr. stuff; ties a movie into a filler arc, fits decently well enough into the timeline, has some cool Earth based lore with Kami, and gets to showcase how an entire arc without Goku could play out. 14:57 - Roshi showing early signs of Ultra Instinct as he weaves past your Special Beam Cannon. 18:44 - I would play as Garlic Jr. just because I loved the way he used the Energy Ball attack. Two of them and he throws them in such a cool way!

Still disappointed that BT2 didn't do a bit more with the Super Saiyan Goku Cutscene... Like also showing Super Saiyan Goku beat up on Frieza a bit, Frieza's Fear, and include Goku's Speech *then* instead. BT3 surpisingly handled The Black Water Mist/Garlic Jr. Filler Saga better even though it was just the fight against Garlic Jr.'s two Forms. ...Also helps that Piccolo had that badass line about not fearing death like Garlic Jr. and how he'll make him regret becoming Immortal! I think Piccolo even tells Garlic Jr. he'll show him how a True Demon fights or something along those lines too! Piccolo's just a badass! 😎

The Garlic Jr. you fought in the game was from filler episodes in the anime while they waited for Goku to retune. The Garlic Jr. from the movie Deadzone was the first time he was introduced to the franchise. In the filler episodes, he is trying to get revenge for being sealed into the dead zone, which happened in the movie; also, during the filler episodes, Killin gets a blue-haired girlfriend. She acted like Bulma did when she was a teenager. She even mouthed off to Chi-chi, who literally went Kaioken on her for a little. You fought Yamcha and Master Roshi because the whole group was at Roshi's place due to what was happening in the world or because they were doing a meetup; I honestly can't remember because it was so long ago since I last watched it.

Hey, Doto. First off, big fan! Just to be clear on the story of Garlic Jr. Kami was captured in a bottle by Garlic and his henchmen, to which he assumed the throne of Guardian of the Earth. As that went on, he spread the black water mist across the Earth. When being infected or bitten, you turn into one of these monsters. As for what happened with the whole saving Kami situation, Piccolo and Krillin took the bottles holding Kami and Mr. Popo out of Garlic Jr's hands. Hope this clears up confusion at all!

In case if someone (or anyone) forgets: During the Garlic Jr. threat, Gohan didn't want to fight Piccolo, due to his full respect to him as both a friend and teacher. He hoped that this will cause Piccolo to return to normal (but, Piccolo was just pretending). When Garlic Jr.'s henchmen tried to fight Gohan, Piccolo aggresively intervened them by roughly attacking Gohan again and again (once again, still pretending). Piccolo even bit Krillin, making Garlic Jr. to think he turned Krillin to their side. When the moment was right (and Gohan thought all hope is lost), Piccolo and Krillin changed sides again, snatching away Kami (still trapped in the bottle) from Garlic Jr. It was a clever ruse, and Piccolo was never turned by the toxic mist (since, you know: Namekian and all). The three fighters fought Garlic Jr.'s henchmen, and Garlic Jr. turned into...a BEEG BOY. Pretty much, everything was mentioned in the narrator's dialogue afterwards. Well...just the main ones, anyway. Honestly, this is one of my fav parts of DBZ: Gohan not willing to fight Piccolo, due to all the situations they've went through together. It feels almost similar like a father-son bond that can't be broken.

It's so hard to watch Dragonball anything, I feel this like emptiness everytime. I remember playing Budokai trying to unlock everything in WT and playing the GBA games in my parents' car. Man I had so many of the vintage figures and movie figures. The 12" blue haired Broly was my favorite. I also had a 12" SSJ4 Gogeta. In class I always got in trouble for drawing Dragonball instead of doing anything 😂 but it just all feels so weird now like just knowing it's all gone. Even though someone else is taking over that's very close to him, It's just not Akira anymore but I know he still had alot planned that he passed down and I can't wait to see everything he's done. Im just curious and this is a channel where i can see people interacting on this subject. Im wondering what everyones favorite moment in DBZ is and why? Specifically Z My favorite part has to be the whole sequence with Majin Vegeta. Between the fact that it brings back the original heartless Vegeta and the moments where he discusses how he feels over about the progression of his and Gokus power. His malicious state and drive to finally defeat Goku shines through over everything. The fight is also one of my favorites in the series. When he informs Babidi he never had true control over him always gives me goosebumps. Same with the moment he blows up the wall hes stuck in while screing at Goku. Just brilliant. Im such a fan, i even have the Manga that cover that part of DBZ and only that part lol just like i have the assault on the Chimera Ant kingdom up to Gon snapping on Pitou. Not only my favorite moment of HxH but also one of my favorite moments overall from all the anime i have consumed. RIP Akira Toriyama. Don't blame you for not remembering the Garlic Jr. Saga. It was a really short filler saga that took place between the Namek Saga and the Android Saga. Garlic Jr. managed to escape the Dead Zone somehow and trapped Kami in a bottle while unleashing the Black Water Mist: a mist that makes people go crazy and turn overly aggressive and violent. And getting bit by someone who's already affected will make you infected with it as well. So Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo have to stop him while Goku is away. And during this time, Vegeta was out in space looking for Goku.

Just so you know Doto, that wasn’t the dead zone movie. There was a really shitty garlic jr filler arc in the anime where garlic released something called the aqua mist or black water mist, which turned people and animals into what were essentially vampires. The arc is really short but it ends with piccolo pretending to be infected by the mist and he bites Krillin who also pretends to be infected. I only remember this arc because I remember it being absolutely terrible and boring.
