Dying was Blizzard's hacky solution to a problem most hunters never ran into. People know this mechanic, just like they know to avoid Sons of Arugal or bullsht quests. Dying to this is like drinking the Videre Elixir at the Tanaris graveyard. Git gud.

I did a lot of DM tribute on my hunt on HC classic and we don't do the pack in the corner, but what I do to prevent my pet pulling is by either dismiss or a technic i prefer which is putting him on stop then when I am on the stairs I call him by me and his path litteraly follow the edge of the floor

One of the combat abilities of magma giant Bael'gar (BRD) is a stationary aoe explosion that looks like flamestrike. The tank can maneuver out of the area when the boss starts casting it, avoiding the uhh 2k ish fire damage from it, just be careful not to lose aggro if you do, but that's something the dps should be mindful of also.

If you are lagging and nothing happens for a long time, in my experience, using /reload quite early when you catch this issue resolves the lag, giving you a real fighting chance to survive. waiting that the lag resolves by itself is usually the worst possible thing to do. if the lag is unresolvable that way, then you couldn't have done anything anyways and it's certain death.

I usually immediately alt+f4 if I notice a heavy lag like this Will have to try a /reload cause that sounds like it'd at least force the client to do something and if anything, actually disconnect you back to the login screen

@7:45 - You can log out when lagging. Alt F4 or manually shut down the game. Once the connection is severed, it doesn't matter if you are lagging. You can then use the "character stuck" service to forcinbly move your character to either Stormwind or Orgrimmar (faction dependent) and you will be there when you log back in. You can also use this service if your character is actually stuck - even in a dire situation. For example, my char got stuck on a fire in Boulder Lode Mine in the Barrens. One can not hearth at this point due to fire-tick damage, and the only way to log is to force shutdown. The reason one can escape b/s death like this is because HC has been adjusted so ones character is online after logout for a reduced amount of time than normal. Just make sure you healthpot before attempting this so you have a full healthpool to survive on

This is what savix’s group should have done. As they hit that last hallway with aspect feign death and lay two traps (because 2 hunters in group) then hearthstone. Even without he trap they had enough for a heat stone. Once you see mobs up ahead everyone should be thinking about hearting

Yup that's what I was thinking too. Frost trap would give them an easy 6+ seconds on top of the 12 seconds they already had. Two hunters working together beats the utility of a mage.

The savix death hurt me so much because there were so many ways to avoid it, they coulda just learned the DM reset spots before going in, or dropped group while running away instead of just gambling that mobs never catch up to you, or hearthstoned and said "fuck this group for doing that to us", or savix coulda used his petri, or macro'd his LoE+hearthstone So many ways to get out of that situation or even to prevent it from murdering the healer but they all panicked and lacked the knowledge needed to escape

Its so sad they had a mage that didn't understand how to play/panic running around. He was literally the weakest link and the deciding factor that caused the whole wipe. Closing the client still leaves your character in the world for another 3 minutes, only logging out makes your character intangible

Another way to do the ST MC boss if you are a caster or have cc. CC them and stay spread. If it's the tank that needs to be cc be prepared to kite the boss or rogue evasion tank till cc breaks.

1:15 It is entirely possible to pull Arcaedas out of the room, as soon as the effect starts, run out and go higher in the dungeon and wait, he will take a while to spawn and then will come after you alone with only a couple of dwarves following until he dies to your damage. There are elites that spawn outside of the door yes, but not before you should be long gone and they usually do not pull unless you do something silly.

Keep character unstuck up on ur browser, as soon as some lag happens close wow click unstuck log back in, it’ll port you to nearest graveyard and can buy you time to get back in worst case

Honestly .. if the mage didn't run around like a headless chicken for 70% of the fight and just focused a single target, the fight would've probably been doable and everybody would've survived. Set mark on focus target, focus the target down, do it with the second one. Now you could argue that he was top dps, yes but that's either due to him just spamming AoE, which was totally useless in this scenario, or the rest of the dps playing even worse than the mage. Or maybe even both.
