This doesn’t work like that, depends on what and where you studied you can be eligible to apply for and open work permit and then if you worked for certain time ( depends of the province you live) in a qualified job, you can apply to the P.R. I mean, I understand the situation but not every student came here to affect the economy. They have to verify every situation because if you had 2 or 3 years of open work permit after finishing your studies and you didn’t get the experience you need to apply, ok you have to go back to your country because applying for asylum is a lie, but basically that’s the process. And by other side there are the asylum seekers who lied with their case and then they hire a lawyer to create a solid history for the audience, they has to be verified too and also most of them work in cash jobs to keep getting the payment from the government because if you didn’t know the asylum seekers they can have a work permit but in theory when they get a job, the government payment is over, so that’s why a lot of them are still doing cash jobs. BTW for the record, my child will confirm that international students seldom speak our language but are "given" honor roll grades regardless of lack of knowledge/attendance etc., as per the deans instructions to a professor who reported that these students were cheating and relying on only one of a group of 28 to provide them with assignments/answers to exams etc. All was done due to their increased revenues to the college and professor was told "shut up or quit" as they pay your salary. Not all Canadian people who are in the shelter system are drug addicts. There are people who have been laid off from work or have medical diagnosises and they can not perform a job any longer. There are Canadians dying on the streets here in Canada as well MP Kwan.
