The plaintiff and defendant were in a relationship, and the plaintiff says he raised the defendant’s newborn child as his own. They had a child together but couldn’t stop arguing. He’s suing for overpayment of child support. The defendant argues the plaintiff was verbally abusive, called her a bad mom, and stole their daughter’s money. She denies owing anything.

I’m sure if he could he would but the courts unfortunately do not give fathers full custody straight forward. The mother would have to be unfit to take care of the child before that happens. Even then he would have to prove/ fight in court that she is. But the child can live with him Fulltime after a certain age if the child wants to.

99% of men don't actually want the responsibility of being full-time custodial parents. They love to complain that courts are biased, but in 2024, the bias is not nearly as present as it did used to be in the past. Men COULD get full custody if they wanted. But they don't file for it because they know they want to live their lives freely and it's much easier to be a weekend visitor than a full-time parent. If we look at the statistics of men who actually file for custody, they are pathetically low. The men don't even try. But they blame courts they never even spoke to. 🙄

I don’t like the plaintiff to much, but he makes a valid claim about child support. It’s child support not mommy support.

If the child resides with the custodial parent, he or she would be entitled to child support. That child has to eat, use utilities, etc., before the mom gets the check from the Dad, so that money is going back into the household. She hadn't ask for an increase for several years, clearly she's not taking advantage of this guy, & it was only a $10 a week increase! Because he has to cover the child's insurance, that little $40 extra a month, will go back to him, causing an overpayment in child support. He's a pitiful man, for being angry over providing Financial support for his daughter! Taking the baby's Birthday money for reimbursement of the $ he spent on the party was an all time low!

He had absolutely no facts about misused funds. His complaint was about having funds taken from his check. When helping out from time to time was enough. Rent, food , clothes, and gas money are needed every month.

Men who complain about paying child support for their own children need to file for custodial parent since they think it’s so easy!

He's mad he had to pay $10/week for several months, for his child, even when she didn't petition the court for 8yrs for an increase? He probably would have had to pay thousands more, had she stayed utd on asking for increases, as his salary increased.. He's horrible.
