Hage replaces Mesar in my opinion… Also my Top 5 for almost 3-4 months now was. Celebrini Levshunov Silayev Lindstrom Demidov I have said many times that this was my top 5 in these comment sections on many videos and got laughed at by Habs fans and was called crazy…. It doesn’t matter about BPA you have to take a look at the landscape of what teams need, Playoffs, Potential between players and how far off is that potential between certain player, For example Ivan Demidov projects to be an Impact first line forward, Chicago takes Levshunov because they needed a RD that has Impact first pairing potential and Levshunov has that… So when you’re looking at the value of an asset when picking and looking at the potentials between players and the impact they will have this can help with judging the position players will be drafted, And Also the needs for the team… Chicago was taking Levshunov because in my opinion they looked at Levshunov and felt the impact he would have for their team was close if not the same Demidov would have had on their team, And Lev filled a more important role especially in todays NHL, RHD so important to have a winning team… This does not take away anything from Demidov he’s going to be an electric player, But Lev will also be a great player as well and he fit the need and potential Chicago wanted to support Bedard…. I was stunned that Sennecke went 3rd overall I felt he was gonna go 9-7 but Sennecke is definitely a very interesting player if he hits his potential he could be one of the best forwards from this draft, I’m shocked that Anaheim did not go for Buium or Silayev… Columbus was taking a Center no matter what in my opinion even during the season they tried Laine DOWN THE MIDDLE 🤣💀.. CBJ needed a Center with the profile of Lindstrom because I also feel they do not trust some of the prospects they have to fill that role I think they see them as wingers… So in my opinion it was either Lindstrom or Dickinson if Lindstrom was gone… MONTREAL… Bipolar PTSD Habs fans… Montreal was gonna get Demidov in this draft at least I felt that way for a while because of the things I mentioned and everything we heard in the past couple months… There was no way Montreal was gonna pass on Demidov and there was a real possibility he was gonna be there… This whole time I was called CRAZY, Didn’t know what I was talking about, Demidov is a sure fire second overall pick etc, Well yes he’s the second best player in the draft but that didn’t mean he was gonna go second overall especially with Ds in this draft that are right handed with first pairing potential… You don’t believe this was my top 5, Well go back to videos on this channel around 1, 2, 3, 4 months ago and you will find me saying that was my top 5 and Demidov would be there many times on videos these guys made about the draft… Demidov is a better prospect than Michkov and passing on Michkov was the right move because now we have our First pairing RHD along with 2 superstar players in Slafkovsky and Demidov, 3 All Star calibre/Star players in Suzuki, Caufield and Dach (if he’s healthy) plus more great prospects up front coming… This team is gonna be a very good team soon enough… Now you Habs fans who degraded Reinbacher and said we should have taken a 5’10 winger with no compete level over a first pairing RHD with size can now shut up please… Demidov… WELCOME TO THE MONTREAL CANADIENS! 🔥🔥😮💨 Ps. Not a scout by any means but have followed drafts for 15+ years as a fan passionate about hockey and the team I love… By no means am I a professional and the rest of my first round after 5 was shaky lol but it’s the way she goes…

I project Suzy to be a PPG player in a season or two, Dach will climb to 60+ points when he is healthy, Newhook has the potential to get a lot better too. Throw in these other young guys in the pipeline, I am not worried at all. I wanna see all these guys in the NHL, I wonder if a move to the wing for some of these guys could help us out. Maybe F. Xhekaj goes back to the wing and plays with Newhook on L3 or something.

Think on this a lot boys, not the fomo but the facts. Iginla, and how much he moved up the board throughout the season. He also can centre. And a year younger than Demidov. Demidov not eligible for the NHL until later, still under contract for a year. So he gets there at 19-20? Instead of 18 like Iginla. And you need speed in the NHL and grit so I thought Iginla was the pick, not Demidov. Wingers value is not very high just to say. Iginla is a sniper, Demidov is a playmaker. The Habs need goal scorers. Montreal needs size, strength and speed now. Especially up front.

I have to say I’m PISSED they didn’t get Eiserman. With goal scoring being the biggest team need they have to do what it takes to add some this offseason. With the habs have pick 21 and his Eiserman falling to 20 I don’t know how they couldn’t work a deal out once he started going past 14 and 15. Them not getting Eiserman because he went in the 8-12 range is one thing but the fact he went so far and they couldn’t nab him sucks
@LSCryptoFormation5 ай бұрын
go ask wsh and vegas why they didnt take him before islanders ? Hage will be Huge :)
@tylerlussier18965 ай бұрын
🤣🤣 I’m sorry but Eiserman is the Oliver Wahlstrom of the draft… most of the goals Eiserman scores would be defended in the NHL, He’s not Ovechkin he won’t be able to stand there and score from one spot, and where he shots on the ice is mostly covered in todays NHL.. He does not attack the middle as much as he should… Caufield back in the day was not like that he would attack the middle and it’s why Caufield has been successful in the NHL, This season Caufield stopped attacking the middle but that was because he wasn’t comfortable with his shoulder yet, But near the end of the season Caufield was going to the net and attacking the middle like normal… Eiserman is not like that, And that’s a bad sign in his draft year, Caufield did not show that in his draft year and only slipped because of his size… Eiserman could very well change and develop into a good player, But personally I do not see the upside people are seeing in him… Hage is a very good prospect… The speed on Hage is probably one of the best in the draft when it comes to speed, He’s 6’1, Plays Center, Better playmaker, More compete level, Very smart, All he has to work on is his defensive play… I understand where you’re coming from it’s easy to look at Eiserman and say “we need this guy” but go look at all the scouting reports this kid is a long shot to reach the “second overall” potential he was projected for at the start of the season… Ivan Demidov will be a better goal scorer than Eiserman because Demidov attacks the middle, Very shifty, Great hands, And he can score in tight spaces, Ivan Demidov doesn’t just shoot from one place his goals are always in different spots on the ice… Hage was a great pick for the Habs and if Eiserman was still there at 21 Montreal would have taken Hage… If Dach does not work out this kid could be a good second line C and if Dach does work out Hage could be an impact 3rd line C and also his dream was to play with the Habs this is the type of kid that takes a team friendly contract to stay with the Habs… His character is also great, Eiserman has a Shane Wright type of attitude he thinks he’s better defensively than he actually is… Oliver Wahlstrom 2.0 for Eiserman that’s just what I see and I may be wrong but if I’m wrong he’s not gonna be a 40+ goal scorer even if he works out I see him as a 20-25 maybe 30 goal 50 point player in his prime… Montreal also has Joshua Roy fans are still sleeping on his goal scoring potential, We are also apparently still in on Necas as of right now Kent Hughes is still talking to Carolina along with New Jersey… So the Habs will address spots they need to in a trade… Go do your research on Hage it may change your mind… I have don’t my research on both players Eiserman and Hage, Eiserman is not a sure bet he’s far from that… This is why 19 teams passed on Eiserman…

@@tylerlussier1896 I appreciate you insight and clearly you know these guys better then me. I wasn’t trying to knock Hage and after hearing his story and the adversity at such a young age I’m rooting for him 100%. Honestly I believe that he will be the better overall pro and the potential to be great is there. My grip was more if goal scoring is what this team lacks the most and you have the chance to draft a potentially elite goal scorer you have to go for it. Eiserman is a liability in his own end but if he has the potential for 40 a year then take it especially being that he was right there. If Eiserman went in the 8-15 range it wouldn’t bother me it’s just he was so close. I agree Hage was a great pick for the a lot and we are lucky he is a hab.

@@tylerlussier1896 secondly when looking into what the apparent asks for Necas and Zergas are, Ghule or Reinbacher plus, I’d rather they trade for Liane. Liane is a 40 goal scorer who the habs should be able to get for much less and maybe trade Armia in the deal aswell. Zergas and Liane both have 2 yrs left and Necas needs a new deal. I’m just curious of your thoughts
@tylerlussier18965 ай бұрын
@@JohnnyJMurphy Sure.. Goal scoring is a need at this moment, but most of that is because of injuries and players still being young… Suzuki is the only one on this team that is past the “developing in the NHL” stage he’s a veteran now he has 300+ games in the NHL and most likely you do not reach your potential until you’re 250-300 games in the NHL… Suzuki is a 30 goal scorer and potentially can score 40 he was only 7 goals away this past season, Slafkovsky is scoring 20 goals IN HIS 19 year old season lol Mikko Rantanen didn’t even have 20 goals in his 19 year old season, Slafkovsky is another player who has 30-40 goal potential Point Per Game potential as well, Cole Caufield 100% has 30+ goal potential we have already seen it before he was injured he was on pace for 40+ goals, Kirby Dach healthy has 20-30 goal potential, Joshua Roy Has 20-25 goal potential, Ivan Demidov who we just drafted has the potential to be anywhere between Kaprizov to Kucherov many scouts have said it and personally from the games I watched of him the ones I could find on streaming sites I see Borderline Franchise potential from Demidov, I haven’t even mentioned our D core yet lol… This team has lots of talent fans just need to be patient, Have Patience these players will come into their own soon, Yes as of now we need goal scoring but that only because our players are all not developed yet they are still young, If this team was older and we weren’t getting scoring like we are now that would be a problem lol… As of right now patience is required.. So in my opinion we did not need to swing on Eiserman because we have lots of potential in the system already we just need to wait, And Hage is a 6’1 Center with second line potential which is much more valuable than Eiserman at least in my opinion because the chances of him becoming a 40 goal scorer is very very very slim… I see 50 points max MAYBE MAYBE 30 goals and that would probably be his best season… His playmaking is horrible so he will never be a point per game player as well.. 20-30 goals 50 points at best and I see the same for Hage when it comes to goal scoring But has better playmaking abilities so 60-70 points is not out of the question for Hage… Lots of scouts had Hage in the 20-11 range in some scouts eyes Hage shouldn’t have went past 14… but because of the Ds in the draft he slipped and he could be a steal… Eiserman slipped because he is a one dimensional shooter with not much else to his game that’s not a good recipe for success in todays NHL… If Eiserman was a play driver and had better playmaking abilities he would be a sure shot Top 5 pick but unfortunately he’s not that type of player… before the start of the season I was REALLY high on Eiserman and watched a lot of his games by the end of the season I was not impressed at all… I’m not expert for sure but I have been very interested in prospects and drafts as a fan for 15+ years now and this is just my opinion…

Why or how was he still available at number 5 pick?
@Will10111195 ай бұрын
I remember a few months ths ago you guys did a video of sennekka(you know who I mean) .. I think Montreal propaganda started there...Montreal interested In him and Lindstrom... but in reality they wanted Demidov the whole time... If you need proof rewatch Demidov draft selection and the smile on MST and Hughes

I still don't quite understand how Demidov was still available at 5.

it doesn't matter who Montreal picks, they are automatically going to be a superstar in fans eyes.

Other GMs in the league acting like Hughes is a rookie... Playing him like he has no idea what he's doing..( you can see it in all transaction s be it trades or draft) are going to wakeup after tonight.. Finally our Montreal Canadiens are in good hands by a management that wants to do it the Montreal Canadiens 24 Stanley cup winning way... ahead of the curv

The Habs' future look much brighter than the Leafs. If the Habs get a top flight goalie, they will have an exciting next few years. Meanwhile the Leafs are getting old.

I don't think Dach will be here anymore if he gets hurt again, Hage will take his place if that happens. So Hage and Demidov on thr same line will be sick

To many centers before Hage, we got Dvorak and Beck and Kapannen. Dont think he will get a chance anytime soon

Kent's redemption for Michkov last year (no offence to Reinbacher)
@Sa_0045 ай бұрын
If you think about it. We now have a great top line winger with demidov. And this year there was no right handed defensman available who seems to be the perfect fit to play with lane hutson

Gotta make up for your screw up from last year passing on Michkov. Jesse, we'll see in 25-26 who's better. How many years in a row have you drafted in the top five? How's that #1 Slavkovsky doing?
@mayo12735 ай бұрын
wtf... Slafkovsky is doing just fine for a guy who had 50pts season in his 19yo season after a serious injury...dafuq u on?

Reinbacher + demidov is better than michkov + any right handed D this year available at 5.
