Most of these are fanmade, except for the Spyro one, which is actually real. In fact, not only is it real, but it goes as far as making the game as frustrating to play as possible. The antipiracy will randomly delete collectables you obtain, cause you to enter random levels, crash the game constantly... and during the final boss fight, the game will reset ALL your progress and overwrite your save file. Earthbound has a very similar antipiracy method. The game spawns neverending clusters of enemies to attack you and make the game very annoying to play through, and during the final boss fight, as soon as the villain's true form is revealed, the game freezes and deletes all your save data.

Things like game crashes, lost data, etc. also if you manage to get to the final boss, the last thing the game will do is DELETE ALL DATA AND PUT YOUR PROGRESS BACK TO 0!!! BTW, this is very real!

Some of these are real. Spyros Anti-Piracy is you can still play but it is really UNSTABLE. Baldis is real, if it detects something wrong, it shows the Badsum screen (The Blue Sad Baldi with Wide pupils) Ocarina of time will play like normal until the Crumbling castle part, Zelda will leave you while phasing through the bars, while you stay left behind to die. I want to highlight somethings they could have done for Anti-Piracy detection, even if they are fake! 5:52 They could have added a Criminal record type of thing where you can’t even pass through the start and you are just denied through. 9:29 To prevent false copies of going through, they could have added a little code in order to be classified as a legitimate copy, or else it’s false, and maybe it should play that Piano sound when you forget to add the GBP disc. 15:04 Only 1 game that you can’t even play because there IS NO CONTROLS just because you pirated a copy, though they should make it 1 time free pass until they can’t for the next one.

You know what would be cool for Mario Kart anti-piracy? One thing thats reoccuring with most fanmade antipiracy screens, is they dont know what made the screens unsettling in the first place. The atmosphere, the unsettling music... heck, you dont even need music for it to be unsettling. The characters looking at sone sort of oncoming doom, or even just text on a screen. That is a good anti piracy screen. Heck, ones that look legit are good. Where they block you from playing properly and either use a realistic checker or show other cool things. Ones that just copy the mario party anti piracy screen's quote, have cheap jumpscares, and have chances are faker than a piece of cardboard. These anti piracy screen creators dont know much about what was unsettling.

Its crazy really. Anti Piracy measures fpr games have been around sense to my knowledge at LEAST the 1990's that I know of. They were not as severe back then. Worst they'd do is make it so you cannot progress in the game unless you had a manual that came WITH a legit copy. Lands of Lore the Throne of Chaos is the game I speak of. It was for PC back then. They had 2 parts of the game that had areas where you had to type in a password and if you did not have the correct manuals with the passwords you had to guess and if you guessed wrong 3 times it would exit the game and you'd be stuck till the end of time (lol) until you had access to said manual with said password. Another fun one was Command and Conquer Red Alert 2. That game I years later found out had an Anti Piracy measure that If you tried to run a pirated copy the following would happen: For those that know the Command and Conquer series you are running an army of sorts, building your base and forces to defeat the enemy. So the Anti Piracy measure here is if you so much as try to build your first building by mobile construction vehicle a NUKE out of nowhere destroys you.

All of them, except the Spyro three antipiracy measures. They’re actually videos of people talking about the measures that insomniac built into that game upon its release. Tech Rules actually made a pretty in-depth video on it about five years ago. I would definitely recommend checking it out. It’s pretty cool.
