I'm in that boat. He is amazing! BUT....he is hyper focused on his job and he puts his kids as a priority. And I fully support that as I am a single parent too. However, he uses that as an excuse to put bare minimum effort into our connection, while I'm pouring my love into him. I've already communicated that I need more. He gave me a timeline of when he can see things progressing further (1-2 years) but to me, it feels like it's his way of keeping me at a distance while still receiving benefits. Wow yep, he is a very unhealed person. I believe he has an anxiety disorder. There is a third party that is supposed to be moved out in Feb he has so much going on in his mind mentally.
