Glad I found this video, not sure how I missed it. Makes me want to get back up to the Yukon. Now that's where you'll find gold !

get a 5-gallon bucket - attach an 8 foot hose so that it drains the bucket. now get a cement hole drill bit about 18" long. you can hand or Makita - drill the hole as deep as you can. fill the bucket up with heavy surfactant like a dish soap bottle per 5gals. water. put the hose in the hole and fill the water up for 2 or 3 days and that will soften up that conglomerate for you.

What about using an old coffee grinder as a conglomerate buster? I know you can't use anything powered to collect the gold but what about separating it?
@wilsonrawlin85472 жыл бұрын
Just a giant mortar and pestle will do. The conglomerate would destroy a coffee grinder pretty fast. They make small devices to do it for fairly cheap.

@TheEzReiter2 жыл бұрын
So as an Idea. Why not take your little hand operated jaw crusher and a cordless hammer drill with an 1/2" drill bit. Then you can core drill the conglomerate and collect the drill cuttings and then using a hammer and pry bar you can break out pieces of conglomerate around your drilled pattern then crush down these pieces.

You fellas could use a welder/ fabricator in your circle. I could think a few ways to speed up your busting up that conglomerate without power tools but much faster than picks and rock hammers. A spade shaped spud bar thats got a spring to hold the weight of the bar and a cup over the spade. Hard to explain..... Cup sits on conglomerate, spud bar in the center supported by the spring. That way the spring curries most the weight of the spud. Hell I could draw it. Lol

. . . a small windmill with an off set shaft (or belt) could shake your classifier, shedding the large stones and doing the job faster.
