Yep, that’s right, Boyfriend from Friday Night Funkin' is another character that will never be in smash!
I have no shame, but you already know that! Even though there is almost no material to work with, I managed to make a moveset for this funky little guy. Who knows, maybe I might cover him again once the "Full-Ass Game" is released. This movset will do for now!

Fun detail about this: Many of Kirby's copy abilities can have a canon counterpart, not all, but this would be very similar to the Mic ability, where Kirby pulls a mic and screams a note that blasts anyone around

Maybe for down special. It would effect the meter gimmick as a kind of a status effect that lasts for 10 seconds. Like maybe landing an attack would increase the offense gained when landing an attack. But also increase the defense lost when missing an attack.

I made special attacks for bf aswell i'd like to share! Neutral Special: Note Chart A chart that is able to hold up to 5 powered notes that BF can use. With this you'll be able to use the notes and normal attacks as combos for amazing gameplay Red notes are fire Blue notes are heavy and are good to spike they give off normal splash as if you hit perfect note Green notes are fast and can shock the opponents giving BF time to follow up and Purple notes are powered by gf who sits in the background for the fight Side Special would be a tether move like ZSS where he would use his mic as his weapon, again with GF helping power up the move (for all of BF's special attacks gf helps him) Down Special (This one isnt my own but i rlly liked it) GF spawns on her stereo from the air and bouncing on the floor, this can bury opponents and can also spike if used off stage, if you use it over the blast zone you wont be able to use it for a few seconds Up special: Simple Mic tether that can grab onto ledges also being able to grab onto foes as bf jumps off them and gains more height

Here’s gimmick I thought of, that being BF’s attack increasing by half if he attacks to the rhythm of the music in the battle.

I feel like Bf would be a fast paced character with many moves that have short/ super short lasting hitboxes, making him a charachter that requires timing and speed to master, just like in the source material, but he would make up for it with the ammount of chaining and juggling his opponents he could do, refferencing his ,,turn" in some of the harder songs like guns or stress. As long as you keep dishing out perfectly timed notes, you will seize the day What I would change about this moveset is the variety of animations. For that we could utilize GF's demonic abilities. Girlfriend is the best and only cheerleader boyfriend has, she's with him every step of the way, in the background bobbing her head on every stage you play on, hence her assistance would be visible in bf's grabs and throws. When the input is made, a purple shine appears shortly in front of boyfriend, while her eye sparks with a red cross similar to that animation she has in tankman's week. If a foe is caught in it, they get grabbed and can't move, then bf can pummel with a kick or a mic punch. The forward and back throw could also be changed making gf teleport her side speakers right in front or right behind the foe, then make a sonic wave, sending them flying. Her little assistance would work wonders on the stage! For other animations, everytime he emotes, gf does the same, performing a fitting animation such as saying ,,that's how you do it!" or clapping her hands, refferencing one of the result screens added in week end 1 update.

I think a better final smash would be he would try to kiss gf and see behind him… DADDY DEAREST and he is massive having a full screen covering fist boyfriend then jumps away with gf in his hands and the enemy(s) getting caught in the crossfire
